My Profile is a 23 yr old male with just 1.3 years of experience ( Total ) and i needed to travel to New York for 6 Weeks and also i had travelled to Middle east last year on vacation.
Top tips : -

But Most of ALL - the confidence with which you speak and handle yourself in those 2-3 minutes of the interview it what matters the most .
If you talk confidently and have nothing to hide you are sure to get the Visa.

- This is the golden Question get this right and you are sorted , i proceeded to explain how i have worked on all the functions needed to make the project a success this making me the perfect candidate for the same.

- 6 Weeks
VO - 6 WEEKS thats a really long time !!! what is the reason for this ?
- Explained why it was needed ( be ready for this if your stay is longer than 3 weeks.
Is the project based in India ?
- Never say No to this . Tell them that the project is based out of india.
And then she says Your visa is approved enjoy ur travel.
Thanked her for her time and left.
Moral is no matter what people say if the reason for your travel is accurate and you do not have anything to hide or lie about you will get the visa.
Do not byheart answers talk as if you know the project or training or conference like the back of your hand.

Business visa rejected new delhi

I am jatin from punjab, India. I had applied foe the business visa foe usa at new delhi embassy on 7th September. Vo asked only three question and then rejected. Here is my interview question.
1 . Where are you going .
Me: answered
2. What is your business
Me: answered
3. How many days you will be stay there?
Me: 11-12 days
Then she said you are not qualified for the visa at this time try next time .
Can you pls suggest me where i was wrong in my interview. I i have my own business of wholesaler and retail of cabric , suiting and shirting . I travelled to singapore and Indonesia several time. My age 26 single . As per mentioned on ds160 form I answered the same but they ask only three questions haven't ask anything else . I had my Itr , hotel booking and all supporting docs but she didn't ask for anyone.
Can you pls suggest me can i apply again and when can i apply how many days i need to wait for reapply again . And this time if i ask to my client send invitation from usa the is there chance to get visa or i need to do changes else.

B1 - Approved - 2 Aug 2017 ( Chennai)
I had my B1 interview yesterday and i must say i must thank my stars. There was the combination of confidence and uncertainty on what was going to happen but thankfully i didn't sway from a positive mental outlook and it helped.
My B1 interview was just 5-6 standard questions ( why are you travelling , whom do you work for , who is your client, whats your salary , how long are you going to stay - typing typing - "alright Sir , your Visa is approved . Have a nice stay" .
Boom . None of my documents were seen by the VO . What surprised me was the lady ahead of me had a reject history ( i wasn't eavesdropping , but common , everyone is audible ) and the VO was drilling her with many questions but finally approved her.
So here is the thing guys , as many of us have already posted here , one should be confident , should have rehearsed the answers , go well dressed and well groomed and be patient . Rest is not in your hands and that is the truth.

B1 Visa approved - 8/82017 - Chennai
First of all, thanks to everyone here for the suggestions and experiences. It definitely helped a lot.
I had my interview at Chennai consulate on 8th August. Appointment was scheduled at 10:30 AM. I reached the consulate at 9:45 AM and was immediately allowed inside. The process was really smooth. I was in the queue for interview by 10 AM.
This queue was a little long. It took around 15 mins to reach the front. While I was in the queue, I could see most of the applicants were getting their Visas approved. Rejections were like 5-10%.
I have read suggestions here where people said that you should wear company ID cards. It will add value, if it is wore over the neck. I had the one which is wore over the belt. Visa officer could hardly see it.
This is how it went :
VO : Good morning

VO : Hand me your passport please
I gave the passport to him
He was browsing through my passport pages and stopped at my L1 visa page. I believe previously having an L1 helped my case.
Below are the questions asked.

VO : What is your salary in lakhs per annum?
Me : Told the same
VO : How long are you working in this company?
Me : XX years
VO : Have you travelled to US before?

Me : YYYY
VO : Where are they located?
Me : California
VO : Are you married?
Me : No
VO : Why are you traveling?
Me : Our client has purchased YYYY , which is a banking software developed by ZZZ. I will be traveling there to train them on YYYY and to attend meetings.

Your previous business travel exposures count a lot. Having previously been to US will add value.
Be confident. Practice your answers beforehand, especially on the travel purpose part.

But then came the moment.........:)??
Vo: ok sir your visa is done, thank you collect your passport after 3 working days.
That’s it I was overwhelmed said thank you and left the counter.
Took less than 75 minutes for the whole process to be done right from the time I entered the Consulate.
Key to the interview: Confident, Body Language and the way u deliver your answers is the key and be honest with your answers. Reply accordingly what you have mentioned on your DS160.
ONLY Passport - No documents were asked.
Collected my Passport on 31st July 2017 with 10 years Visa.
