Canada Visa

Hi guys,
Just like many of you this site was the only thing i came across during the process that didnt annoy the f out of me.
So my passport was recieved by VAC newyork on the 6th, i know it hasnt been that long, but i havent even gotten an email saying they got it. My flight is coming up on the 16th and i need my passport back immediately. If i was to go to new york and try to pick it up in person, how many days would that take? Im asking because i need to figure out a place to stay and stuff if i go down there.
I would very much appreciate any suggestions or advice. My break is 3 weeks so everyday after the 16th counts. I have no problem booking a new flight but my break will be getting shorter and shorter after the given date. Thank you so much already.

They have updated the webpage and it says that they're processing applications received from 4th December. My passport reached them on 29th November. I have no email from them nor are any updates on my IRCC profile. Anyone here who have heard from them?

I submitted the withdraw request a week ago and no one responded me.
Yesterday I received an email with my tracking ID. This morning, an email saying that my application is being dispatched to the IRCC office. Because I already submitted my withdraw message, I wonder if they'll see my message and return my passport?

Another thing is that, my money order is wrong. Why they still sent my passport to the IRCC office. Is there any other ways I can do to get my passport back, either through email or in person (I could fly to the NY to talk with them)?

I am flying on 24th December with my family and I paid $4000 for the tickets, now getting Canada Visa on time was very important to me.
After reading many posts on this forum I decided to fly to LA from Texas just to drop my passports with pre-paid next day UPS shipment label, sounds stupid but I end up saving money and other hassles.

Here is the overall process timeline:

Day 1) November 28, Wednesday: Submitted the online application for Visitor Visa (I thought 2 weeks should be enough for Canada to process - but I was wrong, realized after submitting an application)
Day 2) November 29, Thursday: Application status updated: Under review
Day 3) --
Day 4) --
Day 5) --
Day 6) December 03, Monday: Request for passport
Day 7) --
Day 8) December 05, Wednesday: In person, passport drop off at LA, VAC
Day 9) December 05, Wednesday: Passport sent to IRCC office
Day 10) December 06, Thursday: Under review
Day 11) December 07, Friday: Finished stamping, and passport sent back to LA VAC
Day 12) --
Day 13) --
Day 14) December 10, Monday: Envelope processed at LA VAC and shipped
Day 15) December 11, Tuesday: Received passport in the morning!

Our passports were delivered to VFS NY on 19-Nov-2018. I got an update that the IRCC stamping was done and the passports were received back at the VFS center on 08-Dec-2018. I had included a prepaid USPS envelope, but till date I have not received any confirmation either from USPS or VFS that the return package has been picked up. web chat support says this message means its ready for pickup, however its been 3 days and I dont see if the package has been picked up.

The status on the VFS website reads this since Saturday (08-Dec)

"Visa application, tracking ID No. xxxxxx Your processed decision envelope has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre in , on 2018/12/08 2018/12/08 and is ready for collection between (Indicate respective VAC collection timings) . "

Is anyone else facing the the same issue? Please let me know, I am getting worried now if our passports will make back in time before our trip.

Anyone who got their passports back, can you please let me know if you got any emails from VFS once the passports were picked up by courier company?

Any response or guidance will be appreciated.

Hi. I recently mailed my passport (and have a confirmation from UPS) and realized that I wrote a personal check instead of the "cashier/banker check". Has anyone had this issue and resolved it successfully? I don't have a tracking # or any acknowledgement from VAC NY.

I sent my passport for TRV stamping on 3rd December and it reached there on 5th december. Haven't heard back on anything from them yet. When should i expect a response?

Also, I try calling the helpline but i just hear a message on a loop. I tried clicking "Chat Now" but i get a message its outside their working hours even though its not. Anyone else face this?

I am a H1B visa holder from US.

I sent my VAC fee ($32.27 USD per person) to the CSRA Consular Services office in Boston, MA. The Fee was returned to me !! On the package it said "Bank Of America - Client Box Closed".

I also got the tracking number from VAC to IRCC on Dec 7 2018. I sent the passport to following address:
145 W 45th St 4th floor, New York, NY 10036

I sent the payment to following address:
CSRA CONSULAR SERVICES INC, BOSTON, MA 02241-9557

Now i don't know what to do? Whom do i contact?

Its sad to see so many people going through this misery.

I applied online like most people;

Submitted online application: 13th Nov
Received passport request letter: 20th Nov
Sent passport to VAC: 21st Nov
(Passport reached VAC on Monday 26th Nov, because of thanksgiving break)

No update, till 6th December. (ALMOST 2 WEEKS, I dont know what the hell they were doing)

Received an auto generated email from vfs with tracking ID on 6th December (which like everyone mentioned, doesn't work).

Called up VFS NYC to ask what was happening, customer rep. said tracking id takes time to update, give it a few hours for status to change.

24 hrs later I see a message saying passport has been dispatched to IRCC for processing. I was relieved that my passport was sent to IRCC, only to be stressed again after seeing no update on the tracking even after 4 days.

It is the 10th today, it still shows passport dispatched to IRCC for processing.

IRCC in NYC is 10 min walking distance from VFS NYC, I dont see any reason for my passport to take more than 1 day to reach the IRCC from VFS.

Finally, I decided to withdraw my application today after reading posts on this thread. I have a travel planned for winter break starting 24th Dec, I am hoping that I will get my passport back before that.

I would recommend, if you have travel planned in the coming weeks, dont sit and wait for some miracle to happen, I went through a lot of stories from this post, withdrawing my application seemed the best option.

I got the email said "Decision envelope has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre" on last Thursday. And I used an overnight USPS envelope. So I expected it would come to me on Friday, but I still haven't received it.

I made a big mistake that I forgot to write down the tracking number, so I have no idea where my passport is. Can anybody tell me when does your courier update after you receive the email said that your passport is sent out?
