My old card expired already and I needed to stop working. Thankfully, my employer keeps my job for me. In the meantime, I try to use my time as good as I can. Doing continuing education and learning new things. Finger crossed to all who are waiting here. I am sure, we will get our card soon. Have all a good day.

Spelling difference of parents' name in passport and birth certificate
My wife will be filing for her EAD. She is required to fill her parents' name in the form I-765. I have a query regarding this.
There is a difference in the spelling of her parents' name in her birth certificate and passport.
Mother's name:
Name in Birth Certificate: Shanta Chakrabarty
Name in Passport: Santa Chakraborty
I would like to know what would be more appropriate- to use the spelling as mentioned in the birth certificate or the passport.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
PS: We already have an affidavit which says that the names are one and the same and it is just a variation in spelling.

I find this forum is useful and help me a lot. I found that not only me feel hopeless, stressful and frustrated waiting for the documents but a lot of the members are in the same boat. Sometimes I imagine the picture of myself in the famine waiting for a drop of water from the sky :)
I submitted the petition under marriage based on March 15, 2019 and have been hopelessly waiting for the EAD and SSN to buy insurance, renew my driving license and look for a job.
A week ago, I received the update for my I-485 which says “As of September 11, 2019, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxx, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice”. It has been 2 weeks but I have not received the notice. Can you share with me how long will I expect to receive to notice? Thanks in advance.

Finally it happened. I wanted to share my experience so far as this forum has helped me a lot.
Petition: Marriage Based (US Citizen Wife)
Location: NYC - Manhattan
Timeline:
April 30, 2018 - AOS Filed. (485, 765, 131)
July 1 2018 - First EAD/Parole Issued
February 2019 - EAD Renewal filed 6 months prior to expiration.
July 2019 - Changed Jobs - Moved to Los Angeles
August 2019 - Address Change Filed
September 5, 2019 - Interview has been Scheduled in Los Angeles for October 8.
September 24 - EAD Renewal - Card is being produced.
The moment the change of address was completed from NYC to LA, my Green Card Interview was scheduled. No delays at all.
Hope this helps. I will update the thread after my interview on October 8th.
