Is my case taking too long???
Hi there!

I came here with F1 visa and got married 9 months with a permanent resident after my arrival.

I filed I-130 in September 2016 and it was approved in September 2017. By the way, my spouse became a citizen around November 2018, so we submitted I-485, I-765, and I-131 together in December 2018 (no need to wait for visa bulletin become current).

They requested my birth certificate in July 2019, and it was completely reviewed. On September 18, 2019, my case changed to “case is ready to be scheduled for an interview”, but still no EAD card.

It has been 700+ days of my I-130 approval. Does anyone have the same experience with me? Can anyone help me predict how long do I have to wait? Baltimore office is killing me even though I still go to college for full time because my purpose is here to study. At least, I should be able to work now, but nothing good happens!!

270 days
hi all

Pd: 12/24/2018
NBC

The waiting for the EAD is struggling me, 270 days today.

Multiple SR, a incompetent lawyer and a big frustration.

My last SR was 5 Sept, I called a tier2 on Monday and she told me that I couldn’t ask for an ER because I need to wait for the response of my last request.

I keep asking them what is the criteria they are using to
Process since there is May fillers sharing their positive experience and people with 5,4 months outside normal processing times still waiting. They do not have an answer for that.

February Filer(NBC) / Expedite?
Hello everyone,
I recently receive a response from USCIS regarding my second SR and their reply is that:

Type of service requested:
 -- Outside Normal Processing Times

The status of this service request is:

Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner.

PD: February 12, 2019
Biometric: March 13, 2019. Marriage based NBC. Local office is San Francisco, CA.

I submitted a SR on August 7 and they did not reply that. I called uscis on September 6 and tier 1 agent submitted a SR for me and this is the reply I got. What does that mean? Did anyone have a similar experience?
I am not working now and having a health problem for 7 months(tendonitis/cubital tunnel syndrome) that prevent me living without help(I can’t lift, drive etc.) but we do not a huge medical bills to pay. Since my condition doesn’t improve more than 6 months, the hand surgeon wanted me to have elbow surgery but I do not have any relatives here and only my husband can take care of me. This surgery recovery will take 6-8 weeks. Since my husband cannot take many days off from work and I’ll have be by myself most of the time, I am worried to have the surgery here. I would like to go to my home country and have the surgery there and want to recover in my parents home. I would like to expedite my case but since we do not have a huge medical bills to pay, can I do that? Or how can I expedite my case? On the otherside, we are tight at budget since i am not working.
I really need your suggestions and help.
Thank you so much for any feedback.

No expedite when close to upper limit time
My case is almost pass 5 months. I’ve spoke with level 2 yesterday and she told me to not file an expedited request since it might delay my process.

All the call wasn’t really helpful, other than that info.

WE MUST STAY STRONG. Good luck everyone!
