290 Days, No EAD.
Hi,

I filed for marriage based i485,i765 on October 15, 2018.
I'm a filer from Houston, TX.

My i485 case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. (Case updated before 50 days)

No replies on EAD since my PD (10/15/2018), it's stuck on "Case was received"

I raised an SR 2 months back when I was and still am already out of normal processing times.
I didn't receive any replies.

I raised an SR yesterday and I received the following reply in my mail :

"Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. "

Any ideas how many days it could take?
Is anyone getting the same replies?

EAD
Hi everyone,

I have a question for members here with ead expedite experiences... my case status online is this:

"As of July 26, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T **** ***MSC, is currently not assigned for processing."

I am just confused. When I spoke to a service representative the other day and the day i sent the expedite request, they told me to wait for 5 days then USCIS will contact me regarding the process. And just now, i called the uscis again.. the rep told me that i should wait for 30 DAYS BEFORE THEY RESPOND!

I just dont understand their discrepancies. I dont know who to believe. I also sent a congressional expedite request last July 17, 2019.. still no update until today.

Everything about their services is so frustrating. Huhu, can anyone enlighten me or with any experience same as mine?

Thank you guys for making this forum accessible to everyone!

change from "new card is being produced" to "case is approved"!!
Dear friends,

Our EAD case became "new card is being produced" but today it is updated again to "case was approved". Does that mean the card is not being produced yet or what? Is it a normal pattern or that means they encounter an issue?

Anybody facing this before? Please help, I am panicked!

EAD Expedited Successfully
Silent reader for several months. USC spouse and filed in very late May for I485 I765 and I131.

I tried to expedite the EAD with a job offer (stating I would start in August) straight away through senator's office and got denied because it was only three weeks after filing.

Next day after that I tried to expedite through USCIS (late June). After five days I received an email asking for evidence - I faxed all the documents early July (cover letter, job offer, my spouse student loans, our lease, and even medical bills for minor issues I had in my skin).

No response for two weeks I involved the senator's office again and the ombudsman. I received another email (same as before) asking for evidence. At this point I was frustrated I had to fax the same documents to another person. I did it and kept calling USCIS, messaging senator's office and the ombudsman.

One week after sending this I received an update with "New Card is Being in Production".

Some of my thoughts:

1) Involve everybody you can - senator's office can be extremely helpful, same with ombudsman. They can put pressure on your case to see what's going on. USCIS is not really helpful on the phone to update abour your case.

2) I was told by senator's office that the National Benefits Center is expediting EADs based on job offers - that is the only thing they cared about (just in case I sent all the other information - it does not hurt to add more). I am not sure about this but you do not lose anything trying. I have read some people saying that you should be patient. That is fine, but be patient after you have tried everything, not before.

3) Lawyers seem very outdated regarding processing times (some of them kept telling me that I would receive the EAD in 75 days - this is not happening anymore). Also, some lawyers have no clue regarding expediting EAD. Do not pay attention to anybody that tells you that you should not try. It does not hurt your case (according to senator's office).

4) The final decision seems sort of arbritrary. It depends on what officer receives your application as you can read in blogs some with just a job offer got it expedited and some with tougher situations got denied. The good thing is that every time you try to expedite you might assign a different officer.

Wish you the best
