November 2018 filer still waiting on EAD/AP
Reading others experience on this forum has been helpful to me, so thought I might share my experience so far. I've been waiting over 5.5 months, although I know others have been waiting much longer.

Marriage based i-485, i-765, i-131, i-130 (I've been in the US in NYC for almost 7 years on working visas, my husband is a USC).

Heard nothing other than the automated "we have no update" email from USCIS...
Went to my congressman's office on May 3, 2019 to see if I could help me expedite, which they could.
Provided letter to congressman's immigration caseworker and they submitted to USCIS May 7, 2019.
Received request for supporting documentation regarding my letter from USCIS on May 14, 2019.
Submitted supporting documentation to caseworker May 15, 2019, which they submitted to USCIS the same day.
Received RFIE email May 17, 2019.

Waiting to see what the RFIE is. I cannot for the life of me think what it could be. I went through the forms with my lawyer several times and checked everything off the check list before they were submitted.

What was interesting was that the Case Tracker app showed a number of other people close to my received date also got RFIE's the same day... coincidence? I think not...

Shout out to my congressman's office for going into bat for me! They genuinely care and I'm honestly really impressed with their follow through.

EAD approved but no card!
December filer from Orlando - processed by NBC (National Benefits Center)

PD 12/27/2018 case received i130 / i485 / i765

03/23/2019 EAD approval notice!

It's been 58 days since my EAD was approved and still have not received my card. I called several times to USCIS and they told me to wait up to 120 days to receive my card. I am worried there is some type of mistake where my card was not ordered for production. Does anyone had or have any similar experience?

I guess as i am still inside the estimated processing times i should keep on waiting, it's just that i already have a job offer but the employer needs the card!

Thanks in advance!

Documents to present for I-485 interview
Hi all,

I finally received the interview letter for my I-485 application. There is a template list of items to bring to the interview session. One of them is birth certificate. My birth certificate is not with me right now, though I can ask my parents to mail it to me. My first question is that do they really check my original birth certificate? I had submitted a copy of that with certified English copy when filing. Now that they want to see the original BC, is it OK that I translate it for them myself? I may not have enough time to have that translated in my home country and then have them shipped to me. I wonder if myself can be the translator of my BC and of course I am fluent in both languages.

May you input the documents that immigrant officers ask for at the time of the interview? I assume the actual items are different from the templated list. I had never here from anyone to present his/her BC at the interview for example. Many thanks for helping me to prepare for the interview. It may be one of the most important days of my life :-|
