Hey everyone, I’ve been a silent reader for quite some time but I’m finally posting because I guess I need some words of encouragement & understanding from people who are going through the same thing I am :( I was recently offered the job of my dreams, I graduated college in May and this would be my first legit job in my industry of study! However, it is now in jeopardy because USCIS doesn’t seem to care at all about us. Here is my timeline for my I-765:
Received date: 9/12/18
Notice that my previous biometrics would be used: 10/10/18
Website says my fingerprint review has been completed as of 10/18/18
Sent in request to expedite: 1/31/18
Got email requesting supporting docs: 2/4/18
Faces supporting docs that same day: 2/4/18
Have heard nothing since. I’ve called multiple times and I’m on the phone for over an hour just to be told information I already know. I feel so defeated, it makes me so sad that so many of us are going through this. Especially because WE WANT to work! What is so wrong with that? Isn’t that what they want from immigrants?
Anyway, wishing you all the best of luck and appreciate any positive energy my way as well.

1st OPT EAD so late
For my 1st OPT EAD case, on September 27, 2018, USCIS informed that they received my application. The money in my bank account was decreased by $410. I live in California, my processing center is Potomac. Until now, 116 days have passed in vain, nothing is updated for my case. I have been off work for nearly 2 months, complying with the law. Every day I check the USCIS website a few times and find that nothing has changed. Does anyone live in California and are filing with the Potomac center like me?

My receipt notice said they receive my case on September 14th but when I decided to logged into the USCIS login website set up an account it said they received my I- 130 one September 20 and my Ead card on October 9th and I did my finger print on November 1st. It’s really confusing so i decided to call USCIS and they told me that they can’t give me any update because they not the one whose dealing with my case. They said I should mail Vermont service center for update about my case. The only thing that appears on the app is “ They receive my file, no update about finger print or anything. Anyone have any suggestions to help me , anyone in the similar situation?

PD 08/17/2018: New Card Is Being Produced
Hello guys,
I want to share with you about my case status for those of you who have been waiting for a long time especially was out of normal processing time.
My pd is 08/17/2018, marrige based c9. EAD renewal. After 180 days in total of waiting time, my case status just turned to 'New Card Is Being Produced'
I didn't expedite. Raised SR once my case was out of normal processing time (feb.4th), but it didn't work becuase even for now this SR status under my case still shows ' Your inquiry is currently not assigned for processing.'
I sent online 7001 form for request assistance to Ombudsman office yesterday, called them this morning, a representative said they need time to process due to high volume, but I can send them another email includes 7001 form and supporting documents for if I am in an emergency situation.
I was just about to write email to the Ombudsman office, and I checked my email, a status update from USCIS!!!
Actually, I'm not sure everthing I did so far was helpful to my case, but I would say do something better do nothing, especially nowadays almost everyone is suffering a huge delay.
I am reading this forum alot and really appreciate these shared experience, it is really helpful and relieving my stress.

If you already have the “Case App”, open and go to “search”. Enter any receipt number then the number of cases you have in the next box, then search.
