Seniors - Please enlighten the forum regarding EAD approvals
I am trying to see whats the basis for EAD approvals, we all know current timelines for EAD is almost 4 to 5 months.
But whats the main thing thats needed for EAD approvals, is it the completion of background checks alone? If so why is that some people are waiting for more than 5 to 6 months, while others received it in 3 months. Arent the EAD approvals follow the same order in which biometrics are completed ( like the ones who finished biometrics first will most likely get the EAD ).

EAD mailed but not received
Hi everyone
Here is my situation with EAD..I have filed i765 on Aug 14, 2018. I have received approval notice on Jan 14, 2019. My status has changed on Jan 18 to 'card is mailed to you', then on Jan 19 'card is delivered to you'. I did not receive the card on Jan 19 so I checked the tracking number details and it said it was delivered to zip code which is not my zip code. Immediately, I realized that it is zip code of my lawyer who filed all docs for me. I called him but he did not receive it either. Following week, on Jan 23, my status has changed again to ' card is mailed out to you on Jan 17, if you do not receive it by Feb 1, please file a request for new card' which is odd...and there is no tracking number this time. My lawyer filed a claim with post office but till now they are not able to locate the missing card.
What is also strange is that approval notices were sent to my address, but the card itself went to my lawyer's address. I have checked the docs we filed and it was said that both notices and cards should go to my lawyers address.
i have no idea what happened. I am going to file non delivery card inquiry...anyone experienced this? how long does it take to re-issue the card in such case? I have a potential job lined up so it is very upsetting.....

EAD Renewal Expedite - New card being produced
I submitted my EAD renewal on 07/06/2018. I had my interview for AOS on 06/14/2018 and it went pretty well and got the I-130 approved. However my I-485 is still pending because of security checks. At the time of the interview I got an RFE for expired medical exam, I submitted the new medical exam in person 4 days after but the online status never updated. I resent the medical via certified mail in August to the local USCIS office as per the RFE letter, however the status never updated.
I was scared to not receive my renewal since the system never updated to Response to RFE received.
I called many times to request my EAD renewal to be expedited but they keep advising to wait for my SR to be completed. Since I was going to be terminated on 02/16/2019 I literally called USCIS everyday until a very nice man submitted an expedite request based on financial loss for me on 01/28/2019. I explained how I was going to be terminated if I didn't received the renewal which had been pending for almost 7 months.
I also reached out to congresswoman, senator and ombudsman.
My expedite request was assigned to an officer on 01/30/2019 and was completed the same day and never received any e-mail or anything. I called USCIS on 01/31/2019 to inquire and they said they had sent a letter out to me and that if they needed further information, they would have me fax it. I have not received the letter or sent anything.
However this morning to my surprise at 10:30 a.m. I received an e-mail saying "New Card is being produced" and I was just expecting a letter to fax evidence.
I am very happy that I get to keep my job which I love and that God has been really good to me. I feel very grateful. I was under a lot of stress and anxiety for the last month and very desperate.
I hope my experience can help others.

Can my spouse attend with me to an Infopass appointment?

I am pending of AOS under c09 category (marriage to USC) and I have soon an Infopass appointment to get more information or help with the delay of my EAD (PD 07/05/2019). Is it allowed / recommendable to attend Infopass together with your USC spouse? Any other experience here?

My PD is 08/30/2018 but I still haven’t gotten my EAD so I called in two weeks ago to request an expedite, I received a letter a week after requesting I fax over supporting documents which I did. Afterwards I received an email which states :
The status of this service request is:
We received your request to expedite the decision on your application. Your case is currently under review. You will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly.
Address Changes: If you move, please provide us with an updated address. For more information about address changes, please visit our Web site at www.uscis.gov/ar-11, and click on "Change Your Address Online."
