H1B dropbox delays and experience
I came to India on 12/16 and dropped documents for me and my son late in the afternoon on 12/17.
They were accepted by Mumbai consulate on 12/18.
ustraveldocs portal showed as "Passport still with embassy/consulate" until 01/02 when it showed status as "no status". I called support team and based on their recommendations sent an email.
ceac portal shows as "Application received".
I think my status is similar to @foobar1. hopefully the status changes sooner.

221G issued- FTE hyderabad- lost passport
Hello,
I went to the visa interview on Jan 2nd,2019.

I went to USA on F1 and did my masters. Unfortunately, i lost my passport. So, i was issued a new passport at the indian consulate in SFO and had to come to india for stamping. I submitted the FIR and got stamping done for F1 on the new passport.
After finishing masters i worked and changed my status to H1. I also got my H1 stamping issued done with my employer A.
Recently i changed to employer B, and once again i came to india for H1 stamping with my new i797. Unfortunately i was issued 221g. the VO asked for the FIR, i didnt expect this. As i havent carried my FIR.
So, i was issued a 221g white slip and my passport is returned. My case was put into additional AP. They asked me to wait for instructions in 2-3 days.
Has anyone faced a similar scenario?

H1B Visa interview question
HI I am planning for the India trip in Feb 2019. My H1 got approved and valid till Aug -2021. Recently my 1-150 got rejected. I am working as full time employee for the same company with whom my previous H1 approved and stamped.
Does this i-140 rejection has any impact on my visa stamping at US consulate?

F1 to H1, EVC model with 2 middle vendors
Can someone help if they are/were in same situation
I am planning to visit India by Feb end. I am on H1 since Oct 2016. This will be my first H1 stamping.
My F1 got expired in July2018. I am working for same client since past 18 months.
There are 2 middle vendor between my direct employer and end client.
By reading current H1 stamping experiences, I am afraid of rejection because of these 2 vendor situation. Does VO ask about this employer chain? has anyone gone through similar situation? I really have to visit Inida because of some personal situations

Brief description about my case:
First H1B stamping.
Previous stamp in passport in F1.
EVC model.
Interview was basic. She asked the below questions:
1. Who is your client?
2. Where is the client located?
3. What is your annual salary?
4. What kind of project are you working on?
5. Where did you do your masters?
She then took my Passport and I-797 inside to the office and came back without it. She gave me 221G white slip and said please follow the case and if you have question email to the given email ID. She said we will notify if we need any more information from you.
I asked her about the I-797 and she said we will keep it. You will get it along with your passport.
So summary is - They kept my Passport and I797 and gave me white 221G slip with "Your application requires additional administration processing before a final decision can be made" ticked.
Anyone with the same situation? What and when did you get the outcome.
Any information is appreciated.

F1 to H1 exp at chennai consulate (12/31)
VO asked general questions like pay, highest education , is FTE etc. She already knew my employer name from the system.
At the end she took my passport but gave 221-g blue slip with second option ticked(admin processing) and said she doesn't need any docs from me . She also said it should not take long.
Hope i get the passport soon with the visa stamped since i have my return ticket on Jan 13th. Anyone with similar experience?

I have dropped the documents(H1B/H4) on Dec 24th .
CEAC status as follows:
Dec 26th,27th- Application Received
Dec 28th evening - Administrator Processing.
The status is same for both H1B/H4 till now "Administrator Processing". Any one with Similar experience?

H1 Counselor Appointment Reschedule.
Hi,
Kindly suggest me how can I Reschedule my counselor appointment to earlier dates. I have completed OFC (Bio-metrics appointment) but my Counselor appointment is after 3 weeks (15th Jan)..
The problem is in rescheduling appointment I am not able to see earlier dates (all earlier dates grayed out) I can only see later dates (i.e. after 15th Jan).
Whereas my wife can see first available appointment in her account which is earlier to my scheduled appointment (i.e. before 15Jan) for short time and this date keeps changing in her account.
Appreciate your help and support. Kindly suggest How should I approach?
