I applied for H4 (H1B to H4 COS) and H4 EAD under normal process. i received H4 EAD before my H4 Visa is even issued(case is still with USCIS)
Is my EAD valid ? and as soon as H4 transfer is done will i be able to work on the received EAD?

F1 to H1 221g blue slip at Chennai Consulate
This morning I attended my visa interview at Chennai Consulate and ended up with 221g Blue slip with option highlighted "Your application is refused for administrative processing. The application will be reconsidered when administrative processing is complete"
Below was my conversation
VO: Good Morning
Me: Good Morning with a big smile
VO: Hand over your passport
Me: Given my Passport
VO: who is your Petitioner ?
Me: YYYY
VO: Do you have a end client ?
Me: Yes , YYY
VO: What is your salary?
Me: told my salary
VO: How long you were working for ZZZ?
Me: XX years
VO: How long with YYY?
Me: YY years
VO: Do you have client letter?
Me: Provided email confirmation from client manager
VO: So ZZZ is your VENDOR ?
Me: Yes
VO: were you on OPT all the time working for YYY?
Me: No, on H1
VO: Oh you converted to H1
Me: Yes
VO: from which university did you graduate from ?

Me: Date provided. She noted in paper
Lady : SInce when you were working for this client ?
Me: date provided
Lady: give me your W2.
Me: Provided W2 for past 3 years
Lady: GIve me your paychecks
Me: Given 3 months paychecks
Lady : With confused expression , why there were different in dates in paycheck. I see that Nov 15 to Nov 30 paid on Dec 31st? Does your employer pays on time?
Me: Yes My employer pays me on time. The difference you see is due to My client and vendor invoicing
Lady: Please be seated we will call you
After 10 mins I was called to same counter where VO was asking me questions
VO: With a big smile, thanks for the documents, these were very help full and returned all my documents. You case has been sent to administrative processing and no action is required from your end . it is just us to review something . You will be notified via email with next steps. We will contact you if any documents are required . Just in case if you need to travel internationally I am giving your passport back.
Me: DO we have any ETA for this process?
VO: We don't have any ETA.
Me: Ok Thank you . Have a nice day.

h1b administrative processing query regarding an email

In response I have got an email informing the status is 221(g) and to fill up the questionnaire which looked like ds-5535. I think I do not have common name too.
I am not sure if this is an automated email or someone actually reviewed my case

H1B & H4 Interview Experience in Frankfurt, Germany
First of all thank you to the members who have posted on this forum and helped us prepare for the visa interview.
Here is my experience going about H1B approval in Frankfurt, Germany.
Background: I have a masters from Germany and been working here for the past 6 years. I have a permanent residence status in Germany. Got an employment opportunity with an automotive OEM in the US and received H1B (I-797) approval for the petition.
H1B visa interview experience:
Scheduled an appointment with the Frankfurt consulate for myself and my wife. It was possible to schedule an appointment together, albeit two separate DS-160's need to be filled out.
Arrived at the consulate 15min before scheduled appointment time (07:45AM). We could find a parking spot easily. There are a few spots available directly on the main road where the consulate is located.
1. First counter registers your presence there. DS160 and passports checked and provided with a token right there.
2. Security check followed with all personal belongings collected in a plastic bag. Surprised to see people being allowed mobile phones (although the instructions on the website clearly mentioned it would not be allowed!)
3. Fingerprints taken for my wife and me. We were asked to join a line where our token number would be called
4. We were the only ones in that line since most applicants were for tourist/business visas (a separate queue for them). We got called almost immediately after we stood there
VO: Good morning! How are you?
Me: Good morning officer. I am fine. Thank you. How are you?
VO: Passports please. Why are you going to USA?
Me: (provided both passports) I have a new employment opportunity there and hence would like to visit.
VO: Who will be your employer?
Me: (Answered appropriately)
VO: What will you be doing there?
Me: (Explained my job in 2 sentences)
VO: What have you studied and where? Whats your highest qualification?
Me: (Answered that I have a masters from Germany, from xxx university)
VO: Do you have a master or PhD degree?
Me: I have a master degree
VO: Which cars do you currently work on?
Me: (Answered, he smiled)
VO: Your visa is approved. Passports will be mailed back in a week. Good day! (Smiling)
Me: Thank you officer. Have a good day.
VO was always smiling and cordial. No questions were asked to my wife (although we expected she would be grilled owing to her multiple degrees and deciding to be a homemaker). Also, no documents were asked to be shown. We were at the counter for less than 5mins. Entered the consulate at 07:30, was out with visa approved at 08:00.
I can only suggest everyone to be calm and attend the interview confidently. They are only looking to see whether its a genuine candidate for this visa category. If thats the case, there is no reason to be tensed or worried. Good luck to everyone and hope my experience helps :)

H1B - first time - Hyderabad - administrative processing
Hello,
I have attended h1 visa interview on December 28th, 2018. Basic questions were asked about employement and Master's degree and was asked if I was ever out of status.
I was not given any slip but was told they would need additional time to process . Kept my passport and the status has since then been administrative processing. Not sure who to contact regarding this, last updated date is still the interview date. Could someone tell me if they went through the same situation, if yes, how long did it take to get the passport back?

Case : Petition applied for Transfer from Employer A to employer B. Started working with Employer B fro May 14, 2018. Petition got rejected on August 11th and was terminated. The same Employer B applied another new petition (different job title) and started working with Employer B from Sep 4th, 2018 on receipt notice. Petition got approved on Dec 7th and got H1 until 2021.
I am now going for H1 stamping for the 1st time after my F1 stamp.
My questions:
1. Should I have two employment verification letters from my Employer or one letter indicating both the timelines?
2. I was terminated in Aug and re-hired in September by the same employer. In my DS-160, what is my start date for the current employer? - May 14th or
Sep 4th?
3. If the answer to the above question is Sep 4th, then should I indicate the employment term from May 14th to Aug 11th for Employer B as previous employment in my DS160?
If anyone has a similar experience, your response would be of great help. Thank you.
