F1 to H1b; FTE; Startup; Chennai consulate; 221(g) blue slip
My experience with the H1B stamping in Chennai consulate.
OFC date: 20th Dec 2018
Interview date: 21st Dec 2018
Status: 221(g) blue with the 2nd option ticked with passport retained.
Tracking status: No change still under process.
I work as a full-time employee in a startup with 10 people and get a competitive remuneration.
Hope this helps someone on in a similar situation.
I had a unique situation where I realized that I had made a mistake in DS160 after OFC and on the day of interview called the consulate help desk. They suggested me to submit another DS-160 and take the confirmation page along with me to the interview and explain this to VO. I did accordingly.
Interview proceedings:
VO: looked at passport and opened the F1 visa stamp and enquired as to whether I studied at xxx university in the xxx city.
Me: Confirmed this statement.
VO: Stamped something on the F1 Visa.
VO: Asked if I worked at the xxx company (which he mispronounced).
Me: Corrected him and confirmed.
VO: Asked how many people worked in the company?
Me: 10
VO: What is its revenue?
Me: Gave him the details.
VO: What is your salary?
Me: Gave him the details.
VO: Surprised as the salary was 25% revenue and asked if that is correct?
Me: Confirmed and gave him information regarding the funding for the company and its burn rate.
VO: Asked if I work as a consultant or directly for the company?
Me: Full-time direct hire.
VO: Took out the blue slip and wrote the case number.
Me: This is when I explained the situation of DS-160 mistake.
VO: Confirmed that is the least of his concerns right now and that it should be fine.
VO: Asked me when I had booked the return ticket.
Me: Gave him the details.
VO: Gave me the slip and said the process might take 3-5 business days. Kept the passport.
Me: Thanked him and left.

VO said "Visa is approved and I should receive it in 1 week". It has been more than 2 weeks and online status has been "Administrative Processing" with last update date as Dec, 11.
Today, the passport status is changed to "There is no status update available for the submitted passport".
Is anyone else facing the same issue? Any similar experiences will help. Thanks.

Dropbox timeline at Hyderabad
Anyone got any luck today who are dropped on or around Dec 11th? Mine is still 'Application Received" status.
FYI: Consulate is working today and hope US shutdown does not affect our visas since ours are Fees based applications.

1. What are the chances to get 221g form after interview?
2.where should I check the status after my visa interview is done?
3. Does master's marklist and transcript are both needed or only transcript is ok?
4. Also besides ,bio metric do we need to take a photo at consulate.
