So, our response consists of the following:
1) The original letter that the USCIS sent us.
2) A cover letter that lists: a) what is required of us; b) what we are presenting. This letter is signed by sponsor (hubby) and applicant (me).
3) A copy of form I-864 (edition date 03/06/2018) with the correct household size).
4) Hubby's 2 w-2s and IRS tax return for the most recent tax year (2018). This time we're sure that we are sending tax RETURNS instead of ACCOUNT transcripts lol
5) Copy of birth certificate in original language.
6) Translation of birth certificate.
7) Certification by translator.
8) Letter of sponsor saying the following:
To whom it may concern,
This is a response to the Request for Initial Evidence (RFIE) letter dated January 15th, 2020. The RFIE states that based on the documents submitted with Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, for the petitioner/ sponsor, xxx xxx, the income did not meet 125% of the poverty guidelines for the petitioner/ sponsor's household size.
I include in this packet the following documentation:- an employment verification letter (stating that my estimated annual gross income salary is 54,080.00 excluding applicable overtime).
- Paystubs for the last four months.
- A correct version of form I-864.
- Two w-2s.
- A complete IRS tax return for the most recent tax year
Please feel free to contact me should you require any further information.

9) Sponsor's employment verification letter.
10) Sponsor's paystubs for the last four months.
I am sorry about the long post, but I could really use some input!

So suggest to download the Tax Return Transcript option which typically should be a 8-9 page document. This will refer to all the W2, dependents and any joint filing break ups. Hope this helps.....Yes do include the latest W2 and 3 pay stubs in your RFE response. all the best...U will get it right this time....F1 AOS though marriage to a USC

Hello all,
I am in paranoid mode now lol. Could it be that the reason why they sent us an RFIE for a joint sponsor was because in 2016 my husband made 20k? I mean in 2017 and 2018 he made close to 44k and right now his income is 55k. So as for right now we don't need a joint sponsor, but are we going to get denied because in 2016 he made 20k? I just want to be sure before I submit everything.F1 AOS though marriage to a USC
