Hi Friends

I am new to this group Immihelp , nice to see this forum handy with many useful information and discussions .

I applied my i485 in October -2020 and got my receipt in January-2021 in EB2 but I am still awaiting for biometrics. I got my receipt from National Benefit center , Missouri .
I am based out of Charlotte, NC so I might be receiving the biometrics appointment for USCIS Charlotte .

Does anyone in this group in the same scenario ? Anyone waiting for the biometrics from USCIS Charlotte ?
Can I do anything else to get my biometrics letter ?

Notice date November 9, 2020
Biometrics taken on March 23, 2021

Have three questions:
- does it make a difference to have a priority date of 2018 vs priority date of 2020? Will I get the benefit anywhere?
- what would be the next step?
- shall I do live chat with Emma to expedite my case?

Guys, who didnt receive the EAD/AP yet; please hang in tight. You may be in luck and might receive the GC directly without the EAD/AP. That's what happened with me. All the best.

1. In my opinion it shouldn't as far as the dates are current. But you never know what USCIS looks at.
2. Hanging in there and keep checking the status every day.. Assuming that you already have sent the medicals.. If you haven't sent the medicals, then you may want to consider Inter-filling of the medicals instead of waiting for RFE. Its a risk that you may have to do it again, but I recommend to do it.
3. I believe EMMA won't be able to expedite the case unless the dates have passed which I don't see at this point. But won't stop you either in case it makes you feel better. I read somewhere where people got response like "you are within the processing times".

On a side note, I liked the name

I wanted to check whether the GC approval was only for you or also for all applicants?

here is my timeline, EB3. Mailed everything to USCIS on Oct 5th, PD Aug 2017.

10/5/2020 - I-485/ I-131 / I-765 Package Sent
11/12/2020 - fee accepted and around the same time I received all receipts
sometime in jan, Biometrics notice
02/16/2021 - Biometrics Appointment
about a week later, combo card arrived
3/2/2021 - REF sent for medical
3/22/2021- REF was received, USCIS has begun working on your case again, we will send you a decision or notify you if we need something from you.

Does anyone know what happens after? how long does it typically take for USCIS to review a REF?

Hi, I am happy for your case. But just curious is it EB 3 timeline and your PD is Aug 2017? Because EB3 is only current until 2014.

EB3 China, PD is 2018 now I think?
