        2. Hanging in there and keep checking the status every day.. Assuming that you already have sent the medicals.. If you haven't sent the medicals, then you may want to consider Inter-filling of the medicals instead of waiting for RFE. Its a risk that you may have to do it again, but I recommend to do it.
        3. I believe EMMA won't be able to expedite the case unless the dates have passed which I don't see at this point. But won't stop you either in case it makes you feel better. I read somewhere where people got response like "you are within the processing times".

On a side note, I liked the name
I checked with my lawyer again and he said no to sending medicals without RFE. Seems like its a tricky question because in some place it says it could delay the process which I personally feel is not true.

When the Oct rush started, my lawyers (or the firm) was charging a premium to file everything quickly so that it was filed the same month. During that period (also in Nov, when I filed) they advised it can be done later - most likely so that the application can be sent right away & they can charge the premium they were asking. I would be shocked if the delay it would cause in processing our application ever crossed their minds.

          • Hi,

This forum and posts have been immensely helpful. I am in a bit of a situation with a pending i485
            PD: March 2019
            Receipt Date for i485, i765, i131: Oct 26, 2020
Biometrics Scheduled and canceled due to inauguration of Biden: Jan 20, 2020
Rescheduled Biometrics: Mar 22, 2020 (a setback of 2 months)
No action ever since and things at job got pretty frustrating for me to actively start looking for a change
I had to raise an expedite for both my and my wife’s case for EAD/AP in hopes of advancing through the GC process.
The expedites were accepted, but I have received an RFE asking for a job offer letter or termination letter, which I don’t have but my wife has (she has been not able to work because of no work permit, and is a University of Washington graduate student - her degree costs are another huge financial cost). Do you know of any case who was able to expedite with a similar situation as mine? We do have loads of expenses related to mortgage, childcare, parent’s medical bills (my father is a stroke patient) and I am the only bread earner.
I also feel somehow not submitting the medicals along with the package was a big mistake, my attorney advised against it
sorry for the long post, just looking for some help, thanks

I don’t see a downside to getting the medical sent with inter filling, except for costing a few hundred bucks that it would take to get the medical redone. With this the benefit is that the documentation would be complete and ready to be processed rather than waiting for the medical. Another possibility is that the RFE would be sent and the medical might have to be redone. If the medicals are not sent then that’s going to happen any which way. So the timelines may only get better but wouldn’t be worsened with sending the medical, provided proper process is followed like attaching copy of receipt notice etc.

That’s what I would do, if my final action date was current.

what are the tests to be conducted in medical and is there anything that we can arrange in advance to shorten the RFE response time for medicals.

I’m Indian citizen and as many others don’t have any vaccination records from my childhood.

                thanks

I can't find mine either. when I went, they only cared for flu shots, Ttap and MMR. You can go to your doc to get a blood test to see if you have MMR, and you can get a ttap ( I think you suppose to get one every 10 year or so), in any CVS

Once you take the appointment. Doc office will take care of these things based on available vaccination records. Otherwise they will give you above shots. nothing to worry.

                      • Looking for helpful advice. My spouse is expected to be selected for a professional course and he requires to have EAD within next month. We had our biometric on 3/16/2021. The status shows fingerprinting taken. I was wondering if there is a way to expedite EAD/GC processing? Can I do it directly to USCIS? What forms do I need to fill? If it has to be done through the senator's office, then what is the procedure? Please advise if anyone knows about it.

No need to worry about the vaccination records. They will conduct some blood and urinetests and will give you shots like Tet****/Flu etc. The only thing tricky was the Chicken pox, so if you recall having chicken pox in India then they can mark it as Had a history or something.. Rest is straight forwards..

Also the vaccination are covered under insurance (depending on insurance plan I believe) but the tests and medicals need to be paid out of pocket.. and different doctors charge differently...
