Thank you, Shiva. I've an appointment scheduled with a USCIS authorized doctor, I'll let you know what happens in the next few days.

shiv_82: yes my case transferred to NSC on MAY 22. I got 485J receipt from NSC on OCT 2021, this could be the possible reason.

I got RFE for 140, replied in 2 weeks and approved after 3 weeks, Nebraska is the center. I know you are waiting for your I140 approval after your RFE response, I am wondering why it is taking more time but I believe any day it will be approved.

originally my 485 went to MSC, I received 485J receipt from NEBRASKA, now my cases are transferred to NEBRASKA ON May 31st. What is your thoughts about my case.
Did your case get transferred from MSC to Nebraska on May 31st this year? This is the first in hearing where a case was transferred TO Nebraska. My case and many other cases were transferred to Nebraska last year, around May 2021 but none that I know of this year so I have absolutely no idea.

Not really true that it might be a RFE or an interview. In the past what you are saying was true. Not sure if it's still. While MSC have been approving cases directly, the volume of applications that they now have is high considering all the cases getting transferred from Nebraska and Texas so I believe they are just spreading their work load by transferring cases to different fields offices. Saying that it is weird that in par_rathin case they have sent the case to NY while he is in Indiana. I would assume that the number of cases NY gets would be much higher than Indiana and that Indiana might have a relatively lower load but I might be wrong.

How did you say that your application is in Indiana field office? Did it show up in the case tracker portal or in the notice they sent? The reason I'm asking is, I chatted with emma agent, and they said my local field office is San Jose, that's walking distance Based on what Shiva says, they may perhaps call me for an interview.

I believe NBC is just distributing the load across all field offices in the country. If you are in Indiana and your case is transferred to a field office in NY then I don't think you will be called for an interview. So you should see your 485 approval in another 6-8 weeks.

    All the best.

On the topic of interview for EB categories, the policy still requires interviews to be done but they have been waiving interviews in most cases. In very few cases there are still EB interviews. I'm assuming it might only be for cases where they are in doubt about certain items and need to clarify before approving the GC. Like I said in your case doesn't appear that you will get an interview.

In such cases, in the current scenario, I've seen NBC reassigning the cases to the field office close to you. The field office will then issue the RFE for medicals and in some cases might ask you to attend an interview but based on what I'm seeing in the recent past, you might not get an interview. Wait to see a RFE from field office in the next few weeks. All the best.
