Admin Processing More than 9 months :(
Hi All,
I have attended my Visa Interview in Chennai consulate on Mar 2017. My petition under Admin Processing. I got a mail from consulate after 7 months on Oct 1st week. They asked us to submit detailed description about the project and client details.
My petitioner has submitted with in a week. I came to knew that the client also got a mail from consulate and they have given the positive reply to consulate but still I did not get any updates from consulate. why they are still delaying my profile. What would be the next. Anybody was in kind of situation.
It is frustration which is under Admin process more than 10 moths :(.

Documents asked in Visa -Only Passport.
Asked about my employer, salary, masters degree and location.
VO mentoned “ I am giving a 221g blue slip, there is a little administrative processing necessary for your case which will be completed within a week or two, please check your status after a week , nothing to worry everything seems to be good“.
What does it exactly mean? No documents requested.
Earlier I am in F-1 STEM OPT till my H1B got approved?

I had a pretty smooth experience at the consulate.
Had an L1B to H1B conversion done in US itself, was visiting india so had to get the stamping done before returning.
I was accompanied with my wife. (Didnt take my kids along)

H1B Extension Dropbox Mumbai
Dropped my documents on Sunday 11/25, status had been application received since then.
My flight is Wednesday midnight, Thursday early morning, if the status changes to issued can I pick up the passport instead of delivery? I selected delivery initially but can I change it to pickup instead?

Two people ahead of me got rejected and the VO talked really nice and politely rejected them (i am really sorry to say your visa is rejected ....... .. .. ), looks like she is not convinced by the reason the candidates mentioned
My turn:
VO - Greeted
Me- Greeted back
VO- I see you are here for H1b and your spouse for H4 stamping
Me- Smiled and said Yes
VO- Looked at my previous company and spoke a bit about it, she was a big fan of my previous employer business
Me- Discussed a bit about my previous employer and mentioned what i did, how my job with current employer correlates to my previous job and some details about my current employer and location of work
VO- Felt very happy and asked , ok let me ask " what is your designation and your salary"
Me- mentioned the details
VO- Good and she smiled back saying "Congratulations your visa is approved and have a safe trip back"
Me- Thanks and you have a wonderful rest of the day
Most important thing is please be very confident of what you speak/act and obviously you need to have a good idea of what you will be doing(either studies or work). They have every bit of facts about you on their screen, so please don't make up any answers or lie , i felt they are just validating your confidence and your ability

221g blue slip asked for resume publication research
This was my 2nd stamping. Same employer. My i140 is approved too. VO asked basic questions. After a min I thought the visa will be issued by the way she was talking. Then she started typing something on her computer and said they need more documents. She was looking for resume. I said I have it here with me. She responded that they would like it in the email along with other docs.
Issued blue color 221g slip.
Docs requested are like invitation, resume, publication, research, position, funding.
My background. Manufacturing Engineer masterts and I work as a manufacturing engineer too. Never had any publications, funding etc..
How does this apply to me. ?
Anyone else had this situation? How much time should it take to clear after I have submitted documents.
