Does the Drop Box available at Hyderbad Consulate
Hi All,
My H1B visa got expired on Sep 2017,my extension got approved 3 years and start date from Oct 1st 2017.i have booked slot for visa interview at hyderabad consulate in Dec. I am working with same employer from the my first H1B to till date.
while booking visa appointment it didn't pop up for the drop box,directly it took me in to OFC page and interview screen.Can someone please help me did i went wrong any where while booking the slot or filling DS 160.
anyone has come across the same situation.

LCA Amendement required or not?
Hello Everyone,
I have H1-B with LCA location Virginia and my Employer(A) is based on NJ.
Now, I am trying to get some project with one end client (C) in Atlanta/GA through a Vendor(B) based in NJ.
Now, My question is that if I get all cleared can I go for stamping??
or we need LCA amendment for NJ/GA (Vendor(B) / client location(C)).
In this case who will be my client B or C, and what all the letters I need to carry for stamping.
Also, when VO asks about the salary, I whould tell the salary offered to me by my employer in the Offer Letter and the one mentioned in LCA?
Is it mandatory that the salary mentioned in offer letter and LCA is same?
Also, are they asking why you have so less salary package or why are you in Wage Category 1?

Got 221(g)
I have attended the H1B interview on 22-11-2017 at Hyderabad consulate. Here is my experience:
VO asked my passport and I-797A. She scanned the passport, stopped and looked over my passport again and then rushed into a room. I don't know what went there. She came back after 5-7 mins and asked me the following questions:
VO: How long have you been working at ZZZ?
Me: Answered
VO: When did you graduate?
Me: Answered
VO: What was your major?
Me: Answered
VO: Did you work on OPT prior to your H1B approval?
Me: Answered
VO: Did you OPT expire before your H1B?
Me: At first I said No, but then I said yes, it was valid until xxx and then I had an extension.
VO: Ok..ok. What is your designation?
Me: Answered
VO: What is your salary?
Me: Answered
VO: I am sorry, what was that again?
Me: Answered
VO: Are you married?
Me: No
VO picks up a white paper (221g) and hands it over to me along with my passport and I-797A and said you'll get an email from consulate for further verification. We cannot verify your case as yet. You will get instructions in the email. You can check the status of your case. Your case number is on the 221(g).
I read at many places it could be because of a common muslim name (I am Mohammed Hameed Hussain), not sure though. I have had to wait for secondary inspections at the port of entry the last two times I entered US. How long does it take for the case to get processed?

Visa approved while interview but Status shows Administrative Processing
Hi All,
I have attended Visa interview on 17th Nov at New Delhi consulate and the officer told that the visa is approved and you will receive passport back in 2-3 days, not given any 221g slip.
Since then I am tracking Visa Status in traveldocs website and the status is showing as "Administrative Processing" with last updated date as the interview date.
I have seen visa status to be changed from "Administrative Processing" to Issued in a day or two in my past stamping experiances.
Please let me know if anyone else is facing similar kind of situation.
Also, it will be helpful if some of you can share New Delhi consulate processing time to issue visa recently.

I recently had done the drop box, but got green slip so had to go for interview. Interview was on 11/17/17 with all basic questions- employer/salary/title/my role/education. I work full time for a company in Texas. The lady at interview window said- Visa granted and kept my passports.
But I haven't received any email regards to that my passport is delivered or ready for pickup. Visa status on CEAC website still shows Administrative processing.
Any idea why there is such delay after interview. I am worried as I have return ticket on 11/29/17. Any help would be appreciated.

Late Stamping interview questions and answer approach
Hi All,
I have a query for H1B visa stamping interview. My petition got approved this January 2017 but I didn't appear for stamping till now due to fear of increasing number of 221g and visa rejection.
I have internal project as per documents and I am in India since then. This is my first H1B stamping interview.
Its been more than 10 months, now if I go for stamping interview I might get this question -
"Why are you coming so late for interview when petition was approved in Jan"
How should I best answer this question and what things should I keep in mind for preparing for interview.

H1B VISA interview - Hyderabad
I attended my VISA interview for H1B on November 16th. VO said that my visa was approved and he did not give me any 221g slips. I have not received any information regarding when to collect the passport . How many does it take US Consulate to return your passport ? Is any one else in the same boat?

On 11/20/2017 got call and email from consulate for interview and fingerprints .
Gave interview on 11/21/2017 and they gave me 221G white paper and they only took my Client letter.
So many days we can expect an email from them ? is this issue happening for everyone.

H1B PAI @ Chennai on Nov 15th
Guys,
I had my PAI at Chennai consulate on Nov 15th.
Questions that VO asked:
1. Who is your client?
2. Which location?
3. What is your annual salary?
and then he said "Your visa is approved".
I received my passport on Nov 17th itself.
Small advise is not to take mobile phone and smart watches. Even in switched off mode, they did not allow mobiles inside.
All the very best !!!
