I got married so my wife at the time got H4 on my H1. She transferred to student visa and we could not get along so we separated in India. Now, I am getting married for second time my wife wants to file H4 on my H1. What do I need to do to get my ex-wife off my H1.

What is the four digit number and how many stars do you have on your H1b stamp
There are 2 stars under my H1b stamp photo and there is a four digit number too (1000 in my case).
Do you know the significance or purpose of that?

Clarification on DS-160 and selecting appointments
Please kindly clarify,
Step -1 : I selected Tijuana and clicked on Start application. Application ID is generated for the DS-160 form ( YYYY X). I not yet submitted the DS-160.
Before submitting DS-160, I created an account in Mexico US Consulate web site and entered DS-160 Number ( YYYY X) that was generated in Step 1 above and paid the Fee for the appointment.
Now, when I look at Tijuana Consulate, there are no available appointments on my preferred dates.But Matamoros consulate have the appointments
Question:
1. Is it fine if I select the Location as Matamoros in the DS-160 since i not yet submitted it and Select the Matamoros location in the Mexico US Consulate Web site?
2. Or Do i need to fill out a new DS-160 for Matamoros and get a new generated DS-160 Application ID number (YYYYY). Then, edit the old DS-160 number ( YYYY X) in the Mexico US Consulate website and replace it with the newly generated number (YYYYY) and then select the appointment for Matamoros?

Why your company preferring you for H1B?
Hi All,
Thanks for sharing your experiences, I have been preparing for interview questions from last 15 days and my interview is scheduled in this November. I am going through all the questions mentioned in this forum.
But I came across a question on what if VO asks 'why your company preferring you for H1b' then what will be the most suitable answer.
If I say 'as I am the senior so my company preferred me to H1B' or 'there is a requirement in client location so my employer preferred me for H1B' or 'Need to finish some emergency tasks' etc I think they wont be suitable answers so what will be the most appropriate answer,
How do I prove myself as I need H1B to work for this job? As it will be difficult to answer as you don't know my job description, but please give me some generic answer to my question

Help to renew expired H4 EAD
Iam a H4 visa holder. i applied last year and got h4 EAD card from sep2015 to sep2016. Now in Nov 2016 my husband changed his employer , also the date of expiry on my h4 EAD card is sep 2016. Now i have received H4 approved papers till 2019. Can some one suggest or give me the link on how to renew H4 EAD please. Or else should i reapply just like a new H4 EAD, or should i get an extension on the current expired H4 EAD. Not able to get the exact steps,...plz send me the steps or link...Thanks in advance

I have attended Visa interview at Hyderabad consulate on 28th Oct 2016 and got 221G white slip.
VO dint ask me to submit any documents. She returned my passport and took the employer offer letter, agreement letter, client letter and Consulate letter.
Status show : Administrative processing.
Can anybody please let me know when can i expect the Visa to be stamped?

Need Help on H1B Stamping
I need info regarding the H1B stamping. I have interview scheduled in next 10 days in Hyd. My Sponser is not popular company but i have all the employer/client documents required for H1b.
Since this is Presidential election season , Do I need to consider or take extra precautions. I heard that they don't approve VISA during this season instead they put it in Administrative Processing. Is it advised not to go for interview till January? Please advise.

They collected the passports and asked me to stand in a queue. VO was cool and stamped 3 visas before me. One was h4 and 2 were H1b's.
She asked me just 4 questions and have not asked for any document. She asked same questions from the people before me.
Who is Petitioner ?
Who is the client?
Salary ?
Highest education ?
and then she said - "Your Visa is approved"
I was fully prepared for all kind of questions but my interview lasts for just 20 seconds.
Confidence is the Key.

Visa interview along with USA born kids
Hi, I have VISA interview in US Consulate Delhi along with my wife and elder daughter. My younger daughter is 3 years old and USA citizen.
I want to know that if we can take her along for visa interview as we dont know anyone in Delhi where we can leave her or make any other arrangements.
I read somewhere that they only allow who have visa interview so worried what happened if they wont allow her inside embassy office?
