I have been a silent reader of this forum and experience from other people helped me prepare for my interview.
So giving back to community, I am sharing my experience which might someone like me :-)
28th Jul - OFC
Appointment time - 15:30
Reached - 15:00
Out by - 15:25
It is standard procedure as mentioned in so many other posts.
Few points I experienced
1. I carried my mobile phone as was just asked to switch it off.
2. I was carrying photos for my daughter (6 years) but they took her picture instead. No fingerprinting for her.
29th Jul - Consular Appointment
Appointment time - 9:00
Reached - 8:40
1. Long queue for security
2. They scanned the polybag i was carrying
3. Another queue to verify appointment date and time.
4. Fingerprint verification. They made us skip the queue. Thanks to my 6 years old daughter. My wife's 1 finger print didn't match. So they retook the fingerprint for her
5. Long queue for Visa Interview. They didn't put us in priority queue :-(
6. Interview lasted for 2 mins max
Questions (not in order)-
1. Which company you work for?
2. Who is your client?
3. What's your designation
4. Which city and state
5. Higher education
6. Marriage date
7. Salary in US
And then the golden words... Your visa is approved..
No questions asked from my wife or daughter.

Vancouver Delivery Location
Hi all,
I have my H1B renewal appointment in Vancouver next week.
I was wondering if it is possible to pick up the passport at the consulate instead of the delivery location when taking the appointment.
If not, where is the best delivery location for Vancouver?

In H4 Visa Primary Applicant(H1B Holder) Name wrongly printed

can any one suggest me
In H4 VISA : Primary Applicant Name wrongly printed
H4 VISA Applicants(Spouse and Kid) names are correctly Printed
My Name is : Bhaskararao (H1B Holder)
In my Spouse VISA my name printed as Bhasakarararao

Hi My name is Simran. I have specific question about relocation and get H1B visa stamped from India
I am currently working for abc company which is based out of India, I got selected in lottery of Year-2015 for H1B VISA and moved to California on Year 2016. My first term of Visa will expire in Dec -2016 and by that time I will be utilizing almost 1 year visa period. Currently I have some personal things for which I need to go back to India for at least 6 months. I cant travel if I will apply for extension now. If I go to India am I eligible to file relocation for another client and get my visa stamped from India after staying for next 6 months.
Your advice is really helpful to me.

Me and my family got visas (i got h1b and family has H4) last year. Our visas will expire on sep 30th. I came to US and got h1b visa extension. But my family did not travel and they are planning to travel on sep 15. I am planning them to go for renewal of their visas. Questions in my mind are
1. Sep30 visa will expire so, how many days prior can they attend for renewal visas
2. Is there any interview waiver for them.
3. My wife got new passport recently as her pp has expired. old passport has stamped visa. Is it ok?
4. If i need to make fresh appointment for consulate interview for them, can i use the same user id to make an appointment in ustraveldocs.com site.
if i create new user id is there any issue? old user id is showing non editable old passport number.

Delay in H1 transfer Petition copy
My H1 transfer was approved on June 30th 2016 under premium process and I see the status as below
On June 30, 2016, we approved your Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Receipt Number EAC YYYY YYYY , and emailed you an approval notice. Please follow any instructions on the approval notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
Its been 28 days now since approval and the attorney has still not got the approved copy
Can anyone tell me how much is the wait time before we get the hard copy of the approved petition

Can I use I797C for H1b Stamping

I did not receive I797A . Applied for I-102 for i-94 and did receive one . Do I still need I-797A for VISA stamping .

H1B approved new passport before stamping
Hi,
I got my h1b approved for period of 2 years of Oct-15 to Oct-17. I plan to travel to India in Dec-16 for stamping. I noticed my passport was expering in July-17 (1year from now and 7 months from planned stampling date). Thus I submitted a file to renew my passport from USA before scheduling for my stamping date.
Now the questions are:
1. Since my h1b was approved on my previous passport number will I have to file for h1b ammendment to update passport number (to my new passport number) on my h1b application/i-797/i-94 before I go to india for stamping?
2. Does change/renewing passport (note renewing passport gives you new passport number) qualify for a h1b amendment process in general?
3. When i file for DS160 and other stamping forms I will be entering my new passport number since now my old passport will be cancelled since we cannot carry two passports, for interview will it cause any problem if i do not file for amendment but only go with both my old (cancelled) and new passport.
Any information or similar scenarios people have faced would help clarify my doubt. I did not come across any forum which had information on if h1b amendment was required after renewing passport while in US.

Request you to answer my below query.
I have valid H1B Petition to work in Location A for Employer A till Oct, 2018.
I moved to Location B for same Employer A on may,2016.
Employer A filed H1B Amendment for the Location change in normal processing. Which is currently pending.
Now I got very good oppurtunity from Employer B.They assured to file H1B Transer in Premium mode.
Is it advisable to go for H1B Transfer while H1B Amendment with the current employer is in pending status?
Is it a risk? If yes, what kind if issues I may likely can face?
A quick reply would be really greatfull.
