H1B VISA STAMPING - WITH OLD AMENDMENT PENDING
My employer filed amendment in the month of Jan 2016 and later changed client in Aug where my previous amendment still pending (Case was received).

Filed H1B extension and approved even though my previous case is pending (Case was received), Now I am planning for H1B stamping either in India or Canada. Is there any chance VO will ask about my previous pending amendment?  Anyone faced similar situation.

Is client letter needed for H1B stamping?
I'm planning to go for H1B visa stamping in Kolkata, India. I have recently seen many clients are not issuing any client letter to the contractors. My client is also not issuing. My question is whether client letter is being asked for in the visa interview these days?

Travel with I-797 & visa from previous employer, while Pending H1B CAP Exempt petition?
I am currently working for Employer A (top indian MNC) in india. Got offer from Employer B (from USA ) and employer B had filed h1b CAP Exempt petition in 2015 and got approval till Apr 2018. I went for stamping with approved petition from employer B in india and got 221g (admin processing) asking for project document. Now employer A has initiated CAP exempt petition (Based on h1b CAP Exempt I-797 approval from employer B) . Here are my questions.

1) if my visa is granted through employer B (while h1b CAP Exempt petition is pending/approved from employer A), can i travel to USA on visa obtained from employer B petition?
2) will it create problem at port of entry while traveling to USA?
3) If my new CAP exempt petition from employer A is approved before i travel to USA, then will it have any impact on my existing visa/I-797 from employer B (if visa is approved i want to travel on I-797 and visa from employer B)?

Pls advise.

Thanks in advance.

H1B: Administrative processing
I attended my H1B interview in Chennai consulate(18th sep).
Interviewer asked me general questions:
Who is your petitioner ?
Which client you will working for?
Which is your client location?
What will be your annual salary?
After this he informed me that your case require further verification and is being sent for Administrative Processing. I asked for the reason, he said your case is all fine. He handed me a blue slip with Administrative Processing option ticked along with my case number.
He collected the below documents from me.
LCA
Client invitation letter
Experience letter
Pay slips
Bank statements
Income tax returns etc
And he just told me, they will inform if they need any additional documents to be submitted.
Most importantly, he informed no need to attend the interview again and I can drop off my passport in any of the VFS in Bangalore.
Can anyone let me know when i can expect the administrative process to be completed.?

H4 Visa stamping
Hello,
I am a H1B applicant working in the USA with a valid visa stamp in my passport until 01-Sep-2017, this visa was sponsored by my previous employer “Employer A”. Last year, I quit “Employer A” and joined “Employer B” and the new I797 form from the “Employer B” has validity until 01-May-2018.
The same is the case with my dependents(my wife and my daughter), the visa stamp in their respective passports has ‘expiration date’ of 01-Sep-2017, sponsored by “Employer A”, and their new I797 from “Employer B” has validity until 01-May-2018.

Now, my dependents are in India and are planning to come back to USA on 18-April-2017. Given that I switched job and their visa stamp has reference to my old employer, should they visit the US consulate for visa stamping despite the fact they have valid stamp until 01-Sep-2017?

H1B:Administrative processing
I attended my H1B interview in Chennai consulate today.
Interviewer asked me general questions:
-Who is your petitioner ?
-Which client you will working for?
-Which is your client location?
- What will be your annual salary?
After this he informed me that your case require further verification and is being sent for Administrative Processing. I asked for the reason, he said your case is all fine and I'm satisfied with your responses but we need to do some more processing on your case. He handed me a blue slip with 'Administrative Processing' option ticked along with my case number.
He collected the below documents from me.
-LCA
-Client invitation letter
-Satwic experience letter
-Pay slips
-Bank statements
-Income tax returns etc
And he just told me, they'll inform if they need any additional documents to be submitted.
Most importantly, he informed no need to attend the interview again and I can drop off my passport in any of the VFS in Bangalore.

H1b Experience at Hyderabad
Hello All,

I have been a silent follower of this website for sometime now. I appreciate the ones who shared their experience and wish luck for those who are in the process of stamping. Well, here I'm writing down my experience, which can be used as a reference but remember, every case is individual and different to itself.

OFC Appointment:

Date: 07/10/16
Time: 1:00PM

I reached the place an hour in advance, parked my vehicles in one of the paid parking lots around the VAC building, left all my belongings in the car and carried just a file with required documents(i.e. DS-160, Visa Appointment letter and Visa Receipt). Went up to the gate at 12:15, but the security dint allow as my slot was at 1PM. Waited at the main entrance for 10mins, a security personal approached me and asked me to check once again, to my surprise, the same person allowed me. A person approached me and took the documents, verified and allowed into the main building. After a regular security check, was issues a token and asked to sit in the waiting area. Before my turn, a lady guided towards a free counter. A person sitting on the other side of the glassed cabin took my Finger impressions and a photograph was taken, that's it! Done for the Day!!

Consular Appointment:

Date: 14/10/16
Time: 12:00
Counter no: 12

Arrived just 15 mins before, parked car in a multi-storied parking lot, proceeded directly towards the consulate. A person at the gate verified the appointment schedule and passport, then entered the consulate. At the security check, I was asked to remove all the items from the pocket including the file and the passport to place in a tray, which was scanned and handed over. Then headed towards the counters, where finger impressions were cross checked, You get to see the first american here. Then asked to stand in the queue for the final session. Was given a token and sent into a room. There were 1 student and a H1B cases ahead of me in my queue. VO was asking various question to he F1 guy, dint pay attention as it was unnecessary, poor chap got rejected after 10mins of interview. Next guy was with family and from a MNC, his interview was smooth and the VO sounded gentle.Meanwhile, the other counter has students being interviewed and one of the other VOs was shouting at a f1 guy. Couldn't afford to loose my concentration nor my confidence. Hence kept smiling and stood confident, then came my turn.

VO: How are you doing Sir?
Me: Good afternoon Officer! Well, I'm doing good. Thank you and How about you.
VO: Good Mate! So, You are going to Work on H1B.. Whats your company name YYYY ?

VO couldn't pronounce the company's name right ,Corrected him with the right pronunciation.

Me:Its not that, its YYYY company.
VO: Is this an Indian company?
Me:No, its an European company with presence all around the world.
VO: Which location are you going to work for YYYY company and where is its headquarters located?
Me:I will be working at a clinet site.
VO:Where is your client located?
Me:ABCD,EF
VO: What is your current designation?
Me: Software Developer! Do ou want me to brief my roles and responsibilities?
VO:No. That's okay!

Kept searching something on his system.. few mins later..

VO: Congratulations! Your visa is approved :)
I'm not sure if these guys carry the best smile of its just my exaggeration out of happiness, VO had the best smile ever :) :)

Me: Thank you Officer!
VO: have a nice stay in the US, Good luck!
Me: Thank you, have a good day mate :)
VO: You too

Note:
1. Every case is independent to itself, so do not relate to anyone.
2. Keep all your documents handy, no matter if it is useful or not.

Getting H1b approved is just half the job, rest is to go there, settle down and lead the dream life. Congratulations to those who made it and good luck for future. For those who couldn't make it, there is a lot to do in the world, this was just one among them. And, remember there is always a next time, don't loose the hope, Good luck! :)
