H4 RFE and Visa stamping question
I had H1B from previous employer valid till Aug 2017 and my wife has H4 valid till Aug 2017.

On 21st October 2015 , I changed employer and filled H1B transfer and H4 extension under regular processing. I didn’t receive any update from USCIS till 1st week of October 2016 (11 months and 2 weeks) so I converted my application to Premium processing. Then I received answer on Oct 8th 2016 with H1B approval and didn’t receive any response for H4.
Now on Oct 28th 2016 H4 status got updated to RFE (I don’t know what is RFE as my employer didn’t receive it yet).

My wife is planning to travel to INDIA on November 27th and returning to USA on Feb 9th.

I have few questions, it will be very helpful if you can help me with your suggestions/ answers.

1) Does my wife need to go for stamping when she go to India? (Her current H4 visa expires in August 2017)
2) If I go to India in January and apply for stamping, can I include my wife for stamping without having approved H4 from my current employer? – Do we need to withdraw her current application prior to including her for stamping or I can just include her without withdrawing application?
3) If she doesn’t go for stamping she can get extension at port of entry just by presenting my H1 copy and her Visa?
4) If she is traveling to India on 27th November, do we need to withdraw application before she leave USA? Or we can wait till December and withdraw later?
5) While applying for EAD next year once she is back (She currently has EAD with my approved I 140 application from previous employer and it expires in August 2017) will she need to have stamping in passport?
6) Once we reply to H4 RFE should we receive RFE response within 15 days as I transferred my application to Premium?

Hyderabad H1B awesome experience
Biometrics:
Nothing much to tell about this. Just a formality process to get the finger prints of candidates for their use.
Stood in Q for 30 mins and It took about 1 hour for over all process came out and went back home.
Consular experience:
was Scheduled at 11:30 , reached at 10 and stood in QQ for a while. Entered outside waiting lobby and waited for 5 mins and staff called to enter the security check area , they scanned all belongings and walked in for finger scanning (done by American lady).
After this I waited in waiting area for about 2 hours .
At about 12:15 we were asked to enter the building where actual interviews were held.
. Went inside and VO just finished interviewing a lady. The lady said TQ to VO and went off.
Now it's my turn and VO geeted me good morning from far . I retuen ed the greetings.
VO asked only passport and nothing else.

Questions asked at interview:
Greeted good morning again and said how are you .. VO seemed to be very friendly.
VO:What company ?
ME: xxxx company
VO:Who's your client ?
ME: xxx client. Asked me to repeat the client name again. I did.
VO:What's your salary?
ME:xxxxx USD PA
VO:Role?
ME: said my role
VO:Which place is your company located?
ME: city, state
VO:Have you visited this city before?
ME: answered
VO:Have you visited USA before?
ME:answered
He Looked into system for 10 secs and said visa is issued. Have a nice journey/flight.. over all around 2 mins.
No cross questions were asked . I didn't fumble or didn't gave second thoughts while answering any of those questions
VO didn't even asked for single document. I guess when we answer confidently they won't probe much.
Confidence and belife is the mantra.

How important is the client letter for H1B New visa stamping. Does it depend on whether it is an EVC model and an MNC or not?

Please Help!!!!

Help Me !!!
Hi,

I am working for company X on L1-B and they have sponsored by H1 with COS. I was in Toronto on a business trip on Oct 25 and my H1 was approved on Oct 26. I wasn't aware that it was approved and I entered US with my L1-B.

Now my I-94 for sure had H1-B was for 2 days and as soon as I entered in US on L1 it again got changed from H1 to L1.

My question is:- Does this impact my H1 ? Can I go back to India and get stamped for H1 and come back again.

Note: I have valid L1 until Dec 2017.

Thanks in Advance !!!

H1B stamping 221(g) administrative processing
In the interview the VO did not ask many questions. He just read me my status and I said yes.
Q: What's your highest education?
A: Masters in Computer Science
Q: You did your masters in US?
A: Yes
Q: And you did OPT in the US?
A: Yes
Q: And you work for <Company>
A: Yes (It's an american company and not a client location)
VO gave me a blue slip with Additional Administrative processing checked. He said "Need to do some further processing, check the status online, it should change to approved in 2 days".
Me: Do I need to do something?
VO: No
Me: Is the Visa approved?
VO: I can't tell until I do some more stuff
Anyone had similar situation?

H1-B Stamping@Vancouver
Hi,
I got my first H1-B stamping in Vancouver.
Background:
Masters in US, job search for few months, then joined a consultancy, then full time.

VO: How long have you been working for ZZZ?
Almost an year

VO: Is this your first H1-B?
This is my first H1-B stamping, but i am in H1-B status since Oct 2012

What was your status before that?
F1

VO: You did not travel outside of US for the last five years?
Yes

VO: Did you change of status in US?
Yes

VO: Who is your previous employer?
Told him the employer name, he didnt fully understand it, so gave him my previous I797. He didnt ask for it

VO: What is your current guaranteed salary?
Told him the answer and gave him the employment verification letter. He didnt ask for it.

VO: What is your current title?
Answered

VO: you will get your Visa in 3-5 days. Gave me while booklet on employee rights.

VO took my passport and I797.

In a couple of hours, the Visa status in CEAC site changed to 'Administrative Processing'. It stayed in this status for a day, then changed to 'Issued'.

I opted for the passport to be delivered in one of the Canada post's office. Once i got the tracking number, i verified the status. To my horror, the destination was mentioned as 'Whitby, ON', I called the customer care, couldn't get much information. Went to the Canada Post office that i have selected as delivery location. They said it has happened for others too and asked to not to worry. Next day, the the status changed to 'Ready for pick up' in Vancouver. Apparently its some kind of a glitch in their system.

H1B New - Visa Interview (Oct 31st)
Hi,
I am going for my H1 stamping on Oct 31st at the HYD center.

I am from MNC (with employess 2.5+ Lakhs). My Company initiated my H1B petition with internal project and the same is there in my DS-160 form.

I have Manager Letter (instead of client letter) from my onsite manager which states about my roles and responsibilities in US as I will be working at my company location itself instead of client location.

So what kind of questions can I expect from Interviewer?

Will the Manager Letter be helpful without client letter?

Is it safe to appear interview with internal project or shall I switch to US project and appear for interview?

Thanks in advance.
