H4 Visa for dependents
Hi,
I have a query regarding my dependents visa.
Currently I am on H1 from company A . I will be changing to company B.
My current visa is valid upto AUG2017 from company A. Dependent H4 also valid upto Aug2017.
Now, once I transfer my H1 to company B, will the dependent H4 visa still valid?
My dependents are still not in US. Can they travel with the existing H4 from company A or should i get a new H4 visa based on the new H1 approval from my new employer?
Please advise on this.

Regards,
Smita

**** **VISA Renewal Question ****
Hi Guys,

I came to US on H4 Visa (stamped till Oct'2016); My husband got his I140 approval (for GC) now and I have started working on EAD (which expires on Nov 2016).

I applied for I 94 extension yday (my Husband has stamping till Oct 2017; since he changed his employer) and got to know about the huge waiting queue; which leads to the fact that I will not get an extension before my EAD expires & will have to discontinue my job.

The only option we could think of was to pop out of the country (say,Mexico) & get my stamping done.

Can anyone advise on similar scenarios/ best work arounds/ any contacts?

Thanks in advance!

H1B Visa interview held in Delhi

My interview was held in Delhi on April 26,2016. It was my 2nd visa stamping interview. I have been working for last 5+ years at the same client location. My employer has been changed since last 2 years so I had to go to in person interview. My green card is in process for EB2 category. Interview was scheduled at 10:30 am . I was in the interview hall around 11ish. There were at least 100-150 people for interview and of course 15-20 windows were open too. I was observing so many people going and coming back from interview window. It was taking them maximum of 5 mins. Some were coming back with happy faces and some with sad faces. Finally my turn came.I was interviewed by a lady. My interview lasted for 50 mins. My visa was approved though but the complexity of the interview process broke me to the tears. I came out crying. These are the list of questions which were asked.

1 Who is your client?
2 what is the client's address?
3 How long have you been working for this company?
4 what kind of products do you client make?
5 How many employees are in the company?
Tell me the list of companies which are located around client location?
6 when you go pass that street what is located on the road? I am sure she had google maps open on the screen.
7 what do you do for your client?
8 who is your manager at client location?
9 Show me all your I-797 document
10 show me your pay stubs. They should be at least more than 6.
11 ** I had one pay stub in the file for lesser yours than I actually work . Please make sure to have pay stub for regular hours. VA (visa officer) started asking questions on that.
12 Show me all w2’s
13 Show me all the educational transcripts.
14 12. Tell me the years which you finished graduation and post- graduation
15 Show me the client letter? Why it does n’t have specific ending date?
16 Who is your employer?
17 What does the company do?
18 How did you get job?
19 What qualification made you get H1b?
20 I get bonus with every paycheck. VA was not able to believe on that. She started doubting on that.
21 What is your salary? VA started counting year-to-date salary from paycheck and started doubting on total.
22 What is your designation?
23 Show me your LCA?
24 Show me the documents which were used to file the extension?
25 Show me the experience letters?
26 I employer recently got changed. VA askes , what made you change the employer?
27 Show me all your credential evaluation docs?
28 How big is your employer company is?
29 How long have you been living in united states?

The order of the questions were different at the interview. Just wanted to give everybody a heads up of the interview questions. There is no need to panic. Handle everything patiently. We can only defend not offend in front of VA. Please make sure to go thru all the documents beforehand for interview. Documents should be properly indexed in a bundle so it becomes easy to take out. VA scolds me couple of times for that as my file was not indexed.

My intention here is not to scare you but help you. Good luck !!!

Hope this information helps you.

H1B - 221G
Hi All ,

I attended my visa interview at Delhi on Dec 16th,2015 and gave 221g and asked to submit documents like project description and employer tax etc and I submitted those on January along with my passport and I was asked to submit additional documents again by sending my passport return on feb 28th . I again submitted new set of documents on march 2nd (H1b core documents like LCA and confirmation page etc) and my status is still showing as administrative processing since feb 18th as per records. I contacted embassy twice over the 2 months and they are saying the same story as we will get back to you. How long does maximum does it take, how positive is getting visa stamping done.

Got selected for H1 B 2015 quota. Attended interview but got 221 g
Hi,
I'm selected for H1 B in 2015 quota and got my all documents from USCIS and employer in Nov/Dec 2015.

Due to some personal urgency I did not process DS 160 for visa interview between Dec 2015 to Feb 2016. But I attended Visa interview in March 2016 and got 221 g yellow slip.

I contacted my employer and got the document mentioned on the slip from him. I also submitted all the documents to VAC and after 2-3 weeks I again got 221 g white slip, and asked to submit almost same documents with few more description.

I again contacted my employer for these documents.

My questions are:
1. What is the probability of approval when I submit documents again?
2. Is it possible to get 221 g again?
3. If refused then what are the other options available for me? As I read here in some threads that I can approach other employer and if the new employer agree he can file my petition again under exempt and when?

Please suggest.

Thanks in advance.
Praksh
