Client change before the stamping interview
Hi Everyone , I work for a reputed IT organization in chennai. At the time of petition filling my LCA was tagged under Client A , However before 8 months due to ramp down in Client A , I was moved to a new project for Client B. At the time of DS160 form filling i sticked to the previous LCA/ Client A . But now my immig. team requests me to re fill DS160 with the new client B and parallely they are in process of providing me a new LCA for client B.

1) The change in LCA/Client will create problem?
2)The new client has a clear SOW but they dont provide a client letter.
3) Possible questions that could hit me at the time of interview? how to to deal with it

Please advise me on the pointers that i should prepare and keep it ready in my case.

Thanks,
Srinide

Kid photo
Guys,

Please help me with my query.
My baby girl is just 5 months old. For the biometric do I need to carry her photographs done outside?
We applied passport just 1 month back and at that time passport photo was taken with white back ground. Can I use this if I go for stamping at the end of October?

H1B Visa experience in Chennai
Oct 7: BioMetrics
-----------------------
Visa Application Center is located near Valluvar Kottam, Nungambakkam. Landmark is Samsung Service Center.

Documents to be carried
----------------------------------
PASSPORT, APPOINTMENT LETTER, DS-160 CONFIRMATION PAGE

It's better to be at the center 30 minutes before the appointment time. The security allowed me 30 minutes before the appointment time.

Fingerprints and photo would be taken. Also they would confirm your full name, date of birth, place of birth and visa-class.

Oct 8 - Visa Interview
-----------------------------
My appointment was at 10 AM. I went there at 8 AM, but still they allowed me to stand in the queue.

In the first building, security check would be done. Make sure you don't carry your mobile and wallets.

Then you will be asked to go to the next building. In the first counter, your finger prints would be verified and then you will face the VISA officer.

questions asked:

VO: Good Morning Sir
Me: Good Morning Sir

VO: How are you today?
Me: I am good. How are you doing?

VO: Doing good. Thanks. Passport Please
Me: Gave the Passport

VO: For which employer you would be working in US
Me: xxxxxxxx company

VO: Who is your client?
Me: YYYY YYYY

VO: What's your salary in US in dollars per annum?
Me: xxx dollars per annum

VO: Your VISA is approved. He gave some papers about rights in USA
Me: Thank you.

Around 6 PM, I got an e-mail that your passport is ready to be collected.

Thanks

Approval notice only for 1 year
I recently received mail from Employer as
PFA H1B Approval copy. Company filed for three years but USCIS gave approval for one year only.

I have not received the original docs yet, My case moved to approved state on 26th Sep.

Anyone here with approval for just 1 year like me.

I am confused now about 1 year approval , and yet to submit my DS160 and book slot for interview.
How long would it take approximately..?

Thank you in advance

Didn't get Passport/Visa even after 2 weeks post interview and Visa got approved
Hi,

I had my H1 visa on 23rd sept 2015 at Mumbai office.

VO said, It's been approved and I will get it within 2-3 business days. It's been 2 weeks now but I still don't have my passport back and the online visa status says, It's with US Consulate for 'Administrative processing'.

Anyone else sailing in the same boat?

H1B Approved - Chennai - 08 Oct
Hey guys

Thank you first of all for your posts. They helped me prepare well for my interview.

My H1B Visa got approved on 08 Oct in Chennai. This date also happens to be my birthday. So, after the outcome, it is definitely a happy birthday!

Interview Slot : 9AM and I was at the Embassy by 8.25AM

There was no queue outside the Embassy, so I was let in immediately and was at the interview counter in no time.

Only Passport was asked, not even i797B Approval notice.

Q. Who is your Employer?

Q. What is the role you are offered?

Q. Tell me about your project

Q. How long have you been working for this employer?

Then the officer said that my VISA was Approved.

H1 B Visa Interview at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Approved
HI Guys, This is my turn to share my visa experience.
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Visa Type: H1 B
Date: 28 September 2015

My scheduled time was 8AM; I reached location at 7 AM. Guys don’t reach too early unless your time slot is first slot of day. 15min before is fair enough. Around 8:45am they let me go inside. First there will be security check; you need to handover your phone over there (Free of cost) don’t carry any electronics other than phone. Once securities check done you have to enter room where they will take finger prints. In my case no one has taken photo. After finger prints officer passed token number and I was waiting at waiting room. My turn was at 11AM.

Here are questions List:

Me: Good Morning Officer
VO: Passport Please
Me: While giving passport he asked me for I-797B document.
VO: Who is petitioner?
Me: YYYY software solution.
VO: How many employees are working for this company?
Me: XX members
VO: How many employees working on H1 B?
Me: I don’t know officer.
VO: How do you this company?
Me: I applied thru company careers section.
VO: what is your petitioner does?
Me: Software Development and blah blah
VO: How long you were staying in Malaysia?
Me: 18 Months
VO: What is your role here?
Me: Sr. Software Engineer
VO: What is your highest graduation?
Me: B.E (Electronics and communication)
VO: Show me you’re Degree
Me: while showing he asked for employment contract then I passed both. He checked both documents
VO: He showed white pamphlet and asked what this is?
Me: It is a white pamphlet and it explains employee rights in USA
VO: Explain me some rights then
Me: Explained some blah blah, you read before you go. Then he passed my all documents except my passport and he said you can leave. I was with question mark face and looking at VO face. Then he said your visa approved.

221g white slip @Hyd
Hi,

I attended visa stamping interview today. VO asked huge number of questions about my employer and the project. He was not convinced with my answers and so asked me to wait in lobby for more than 2 hours.

After 2 hours they again called me and asked same questions again repeatedly and finally gave me white slip saying that it is under admin processing.

However they did not ask for any additional documents.

Please let me know what would happen next.
