H1B & H4 Visa Interview Experience in Chennai
Hi All, today morning we received mails stating that "The passport number being returned is YYYY and the airway bill for tracking is ZZZ" for my wife and kid. But haven't yet received mail for my passport. While tracking my passport is shows as "Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery" for me. For my wife and kid it shows as "Your passport is ready for pickup". Will the passport be dispatched separately for each applicant. I thought all will be delivered at the same time. Could you please let me know passport for you and your family members are delivered separately. Also will the passport for H4 dependent visa be delivered before the H1B visa.

H1B & H4 Visa Interview Experience in Chennai
Hi All, Its my turn to share my interview experience. My experience was like a roller coaster ride.

Consular interview was scheduled in Chennai on 10th Sep 10:00 AM. I scheduled for my wife and kid along with me. We reached the consular office at 8:00 AM and parked our car in Avvai shanmugi
road near the consulate. Went to Consular office at 8:30 AM to check at what time they will allow 10:00 AM batch. To our surprise they allowed us immediately. Our passports have been scanned
and fingerprints have been verified. Then went to the interview lobby. Since we had 3 year old kid,
they asked us to sit in the chair instead of waiting in the queue. Then I was allowed to stand
in the line in front of the counter 15. There were 4 people before me, all are H1B and H4. VO gave
yellow slip to a girl before me and asked her to wait. My turn has come.

VO: Hello. Good Morning
Me: Good morning mam, how are you doing.
VO: I am fine thanks.
VO: Can I have your passports please.
Me: Sure mam.
VO: Hi, what is your name.(asked to me son)
My Son: Replied
Vo: Good. Are you going to work for XX company
Me: Yes mam.
VO: How long you are working for this company.
Me: This is a new opportunity mam.
VO: Will you be working in client location
Me: No mam, I will be working in my petitioner's location
VO: So, is it an in-house project?
Me: No, its not a project. I will be working for a solution which is going to be developed in petitioner's office.
VO: Ok. Do you have project description documents.
Me: Yes mam. Gave the project document.
VO: Was typing something on computer and asked how did you come to know about this opportunity.
Me: I applied through job portal, have been interview and offered this position.
VO: Can you do me a favor, please wait for sometime we will call you back. (Handed over an yellow slip which was written as please wait until your name is called)

I was very much tensed, not sure whats going to happen. The girl who got yellow slip before me was called to other counter, where she was explaining something for nearly 30 mins. Then she came back and waiting along with me. She was again called to the counter where the interview happened first. She was given blue slip along with her passport. After watching this I was very much worried. I thought I will also be called to the other counter where the girl had been interviewed second
time. I was waiting for 50 mins. and preparing to explain about the project. I saw many people got yellow slip, were waiting along with me. Suddenly my name was called, asked to go to the same counter 15. VO told that your visas have been approved and handed over the US rights pamphlet and returned the project document. I was totally frozen and said thanks continuously 3 times. No questions were asked to my wife. We could not believe what had happened. Its like a miracle happened in our life. We left the place happily.

H1B & H4 Visa approved in Chennai
Today I attended consular interview in Chennai. VO told my Visa has been approved and gave me the US rights pamphlet. But when I check the status now, it is showing as Administrative Processing. H4 visa status of my wife and kid is showing as Issued. I am not sure what to do. Did anyone faced this kind of situation. What could be the reason for this. Is this status a normal one and gets changed within few days or will it take many weeks as mentioned the site. People who attended the interview recently, could you please update how long it took to receive your passport back with visa stamp. Could anyone please share your thoughts on this. I am very much worried now.

cap exemption possible for new petition
Hi every one,

I have got approved h1b petition for AAA company in 2014, i went for stamping at hyd consulate but was refused.
And later the consulate has sent to uscis for revocation, then the petition was revoked by uscis in jan 2015.

Now i got oppurtunity from XYZ company, they are ready for filing new petition through cap exemption.
So, is it comes under cap exemption? Is it possible to get approval through cap exemption?
Is anybody has gone through like this situation, i mean anybody got approval for new petition under cap exemption if used previous revoked petition case number for exemption? Pls suggest.
