Need suggestion for h1 visa interview preparation
I have had two US visa rejections in employer A, one was h1b in Aug -2013 and other one was L1 Individual in May-2014. Would these two rejections have any impact on this year h1b during stamping but this year I have filed through different employer and still have been working in Employer A.
Kindly share your experiences and what can I answer if they ask rejection, while stamping.

H1B Stamped!!! @ Hyderabad
I had received my H1B Visa and the whole process was actually pretty smooth.
August 11th: OFC
Required Docs
1) Passport
2) DS 160 Confirmation Page
3) Visa Appointment Confirmation
Please be at the center 15 mins prior to the appointment. There is no point in being there earlier than that.
August 13th: Visa Interview Day
Please be at the consulate 30 mins prior to the appointment. Otherwise be prepared to wait on the road in the heat.
Carry all the required docs as mentioned in various forums. Open any sealed docs prior to security check as you may have to step outside, open the packages and come back in.
Interview
Me: Good Morning Madam
VO: Good Morning
VO: Who is your employer?
Me: YYYY
VO: What project would you work on?
Me: I will be working on internal projects for YYYY
VO: What project exactly?
Me: Answered
VO: What s you qualification?
Me: Answered

VO: Your visa is approved Sir, you will receive your passport in the next 3 days.
I was actually quite nervous, but I guess as long as all the documentation is genuine, the chances of getting a visa are pretty high.
Collected my passport the next day.

H1B RFE
hi just sharing my experience with you all... i was in my OPT when i have applied for H1B Luckily i have got picked in H1 Lottery but i was received the RFE , and same time unfortunately i my Project was over due to some problems in the company
and i am in a critical position to replay to the RFE providing all the information which USCIS was seeking for,
i took up new project in same city with in 15 days and asked me attorney X to respond... he told me it is not a straight case your LCA is with other client A and now you are with other client B i don't think it is going to work out, you have to go back to the old client A then only I can respond to the RFE, My opt was expiring in few days and i cant see hte hope of getting my RFE answered , I tried taking advice from other big Attorney including Murthy LAw firm but they don't have time for me and could not get appointment with them on time,
some how with help of my employer i got hold of the attorney Gowrisankar Challagundl, Attorney-at-Law from Challa Law Office, PC
and he spoke to me and understood the whole case and gave me the confidence that we still have chance and we suly going to fight to make it done,
he has worked hard with in very short frame of time and he has done the magic... turn the table around and made the miracle possible. My H1b got approved.. he filed new LCA with current company address and put his experience out to defend the case to the positive result.

Query on H1B interview
Hi everyone,
My current employer is company-A. I am going to client location in US for company-B on H1 visa.
My petition is approved.
I am having client letter in my employer's letter head not in client letter head.
Will it create any problem during H1 interview?

H1B - Stamping - Chennai Consulate - Aug 14
I'm just going to highlight some tips here. Please take them with a pinch of salt as they are all based on my personal opinions.
OFC Appointment.
Tips:
Arrive 15 mins before the appointed time.
Avoid suits, ties, uncomfortable clothing. The visa picture will not cover much other than your face. So turn up in comfortable clothing.
The actual process takes only 5 mins max.
Visa Interview at Consulate (The following tips are for Chennai)
1. There will be a huge queue at the other end of the consulate (near the busstop)
2. There will be 2 queues (one for current slot one for next slot) check your slot queue and stand in that line.
3. Line will be HUGE so if you want to be infront come early :)
4. DO NOT CARRY any electronic items, food items. A guy was asked to either eat the chocolate he carried or throw it away.
5. There is a small counter where you can store bags, electronics incase you brought them. Not sure how much he charges.
6. Wear comfortable clothes. You are in chennai and you will be soaking in sweat by the time you get inside.
7. Wear perfume/ Deo :)
8. Your folder will be checked in a scanner and then you will be checked and then asked to move to another building (where Visa interview takes place)
9. once you enter the building at the reception your passport will be verified and a sticker will be pasted on your passport with your Token Number (This is the token number of your interview)
10. Next up your fingerprints will be checked again.
11. Next you will have to sit in the waiting hall and look at the monitor in front of you for your token to appear.
12. Do not try to look/listen to the counters and 'assess' them as easy counter, tough counter etc. IT DOES NOT HELP.
13. Instead take some deep breaths, go through things in your mind, prepare yourself.
14. Once you see the token number on the monitor go to the appropriate counter number.
15. Dont crowd at the counter queue. Leave enough space between you and the person in front of you.
16. Once you are at the counter with the VO be confident.
17. Give assertive, confident answers.
18. Know where your documents are in your folder (there is no blue folder where the important docs are kept. Its all your big folder that you have to carry to the counter)
19. probably the biggest advice: LISTEN TO THE VO CAREFULLY AND THEN ANSWER.
e.g. The guy in front of me was answering repeatedly 'I'm Accountant. 'I'm Accoutant'. 'I'm Accountant'. The VO was repeating his question 'Sir, where do you work?' 'Where do you work?' 'Where do you work?'
20. Don't lean in and answer - the mic is actually at the side. So you are better of talking loudly from where you are standing in case the VO is not able to hear you.

Visa Shifting
Here is the situation, I got admission in to a university in USA to do my masters when I was in USA on H4. I requested for i20 and they have issued it on 26th May. But unfortunately, due to emergency situation I had to go to India in the month of June and came back to USA on H4 . Now I wanted to shift my visa status to F1 . But since my i20 has been issued before me coming to India there comes the problem for me changing my visa status to F1.I t looks like I have committed a fraud. This is what my visa adviser told me Is there any solution for this??? Will they accept my visa shift at this situation???Please leave your inputs, they will help me a lot. Thanks in advance.
