221g White slip for H1B

Please help me:

My experience..

On time at the interview..and the VO asked me the client details, provided. Then he entered something in the system and went out and spoke to some admin personnel and then some lady came to me and took me with her into the admin office..

She asked about my company and how i know the company all these details..I explained her briefly..

then She told that she wanted a contract document with the project description and gave me the email ID [email protected] and asked me to send the docs in three days ..and took all the h1b related documents from me and gave my passport back.

On the White slip she checked others category and wrote Contract document & Project description needed..

My employer forwarded all those required document to the given mail id. I am really tensed. Whats the process and is there any possibility of approval..

Please answer

Sucessfull stamping story
Interview was at 10 am 6th Jan 2014 Chennai.
VO: GM madam ?Which company ?
me: New opportunity
VO: Company nameand salary per annum ?
me : answered
VO: where is it located ?
Me: Answered but VO said not aware of the city and after i give more details he said catch u now..
VO: Which company u currently working
answered
VO: So u quite and join in US?
answered
VO: asked for my petition documents, went through it, be was not looking ok documents ..
I said i have client letter and master agreement copy too..
VO: asked me to give all the documents which i had..
He went inside and gave those docs to some person and gave me yellow slip and asked to wait till i am called

I waited for 45 mins and later my token number was called ..
India lady was looking into my docs and seeing her i felt mine will be rejected..
Lady : Which company?
Me answered
Lady: So u gonna work for client project ?
Me said yes amd gave location details too
Lady: Is it a inhouse project and whats ur role
answered
Lady : Asked my highest qualification
answered and also evaluated my originals
Lady was typing all my details in her system
Lady : how many in this project
answered
Lady: all in client location...
answered accordingly
Lady : This client is not a big client which require so many ppl in this project
You got to be very clear about your answers and confident providing all details about the project and the client
Lady: how did u get to know this opportunity?
Lady: Are u the only person for this role ?
Lady: Visa approval is not 100% so what if ur visa gets rejected ?
Here you need to defend saying how project will get affected
Lady: So you are the person who will kick start the project..
answer accordly and be confident
Lady: if asked can the client provide project discriptions...
answer according to your project ...
Lady : She kept typing and made me to stand quite for 15 mins..
later told me VO will update my status..

At this point in time i felt mine is rejected because they did not find project detail and client letter looked not Convincing to the officers..

VO: Appreciate your waiting time.. He read some lines in his coputer and gave pamplet saying this will tel your rights in US
Later he told golden words " WE APPROVE YOUR VISA"
I said thank you so much and asked him how i can collect the passport..
VO said need to collect in the office which we select in DS-16- form and no courier facility now.
My passport is ready to pick up from Prestige atrium now!!!

My visa got approved even thought they looked not convincing with client letter & project only because of my confidence in providing project details and also the impact on the project if it gets rejected :)
My working experience with top MNC's and previous US travel looked positive and added some weightage to my case !!!

All the best...

H1 extension issue
Hi,
When i was using L1 visa, I took couple of breaks and totally 8 months i was out of US(was in India). I came back to US and then applied for H1 conversion. I have now got validity for my H1 B as just 6 months. This is my 4th month and i have a situation now. My wife is pregnant and her due date is April end which is after my visa expiration date. When i talked to the consultancy, they said they can apply extension only for those months i stayed outside of US which is 8 months. I understood the reason was because duration of stay in US for L1/H1 visa holders is 6 years.

My question here is what will happen if my H1 extension gets rejected with reason "exceeded the duration of my stay"? Should i exit the country with critical situation of my wife or can i ask USCIS for few more months to stay just because of my wife's due date.

Even if i get my stay little extended ,say for 180 days, can i apply for driving license? My current driving license will get expired on exact date when my current H1 visa is getting expired.

Please let me know if you need any additional information to understand more about my situation.

Thanks,
Jegan

H1B Visa Stamping at Mumbai, India Consulate on 12/24/2013

Back Ground:

I work as full time employee for a major health insurance company, joined recently. I worked as a consultant at the same company for about 2 years through direct vendor (big us consulting company).

I am working at US for about 7 years now on H1B.

However, I had 2 rejections in 2010 for H1B. I use to work for the small consulting company that time, I think probably that was the reason for rejection and I was stuck for 16 months in India. I started a IT job in big US-Indian consulting company and then in 2011, I got the offer from my last company (big us consulting company) to work at major health insurance company. Later in 2013 my client major health insurance company hired me as full time employee. I appeared for the Visa renewal for the same major health insurance company.

My perm was denied for my previous company (big us consulting company) for some technical reason and my current company started the green card process.

This forum helped me a lot in the past, so thought to share my experience:

OFC Appointment Experience - Mumbai - 12/22/2013 4:30 PM

Entry to Exit would not take more than 10-15 minutes including the security check.

My appointment time was 4:30 PM on Sunday (yeah, they were open on Sunday). I didn't knew that Mr. Narendra Modi is addressing the big rally at BKC until Sunday Morning. So, I decided to reach there little early. I reached there by Auto at 3:30 PM. There was no crowd at OFC center and they allowed me inside for the finger printing immediately. I carried my full documents folder, but they only needed

1. Passport,
2. DS-160 confirmation
3. Visa appointment letter.

I didn't carried any electronic items and any prohibited items at OFC center. However, they have a locker at OFC center, which is super expensive like Rs 200/-. They also make corrections to your DS-160, if it's needed, again they charge heavy amount for the corrections.

The staff would post bar code sticker on the back of passport. Then I was sent into a hall where my Fingerprints and Photograph are taken. All this process didn’t take more than 2/3 minutes and I was out by 3:45 PM.

Visa Appointment (US Consulate) Experience - Mumbai - 12/23/2013 7:45 AM

Reached Consulate by 7:00 AM and around 200 people standing in the line. I asked few people about their slot and stood in the line.

Security person verified appointment copy and scanned bar code attached backside of my passport at OFC office. After body checking allowed me into the building, there checked documents folder (they are not allowing CD/DVD/pen drive any other electronic items). You can put your stuff at OFC center locker, OFC center is 1.5 km from US consulate. OFC center is opened early like at 7:00 AM, if you need. This will be extra charge service.

Only thing I was carrying was documents, flat keys and wallet.

After that they have asked me to go to another building called passport lobby. There they scanned again bar code on the passport. There they took my right hand four fingers impressions. They had many chairs to sit, but there was one queue for Visa Interview and they asked me to stand in the line. They were sending candidates from this line to different windows for the interview.

There were two people in front of me. First boy was denied visa and another girl was going for Student Visa. Visa office grilled her and finally granted the visa. The seems like a strict officer.

Felt little tension and the conversation with Visa officer follows.

Greetings exchanged..

1. What is your designation with xxxx (it seemed like he knew my company very well)?

2. What is your salary?

3. What's your highest education?

4. Are you married?
Answer: I am not married.

5. Will you take your wife with you when get married?

6. Did you read this white phampleqte?
Answer: That's pretty much first signal, your visa is approved.

7. Are you xxxx full time employee or it's your client??

8. When did you joined xxxx??

9. Then he asked for last passport and realized my last visa was stamped the current password. He cancelled my old visa after that.

Finally he said "Your Visa is approved." I said Thank you..

Be confident and answer.

I hope it helps you and ALL THE BEST!!!!
