Hi everybody,
This site has provided me with lot of required information. I had applied for H4 visa and was initially very scared for the interview. However, the experiences put in here were really good and boosted my confidence.
I had my H4 interview on 25th Feb and it was a simple,easy affair. However let me tell you guys, that I had made a mistake in Q.No.4 in DS-156 form and was really scared as to how to get it corrected. I had cancelled my appointment before once due to personal reasons and was scared whether the vfs team would ask me to cancel this one too. But thank god everything went on well.
My appt was at 3.30 and i reached the vfs counter well before time. Even before i could point out the mistake,the Vfs counter member, smiled at me, and corrected the mistake himself in front of me. I was really relieved. Then I proceeded further for the interview. There were around 50-60 members, a long waiting time, but the interview lasted for less than a minute..
As soon as i handed over my file to VO,she asked me - when did i get married and scanned through my spouse's passport. Asked me whether my spouse was in US..thats it, I replied correctly and my visa got approved. No documents,albums were required. After around 4 days, i got back my passport with the Visa stamped.
As everybody mentions here, just be confident. Do take all the required docs with you, it all depends on the VO's what they want to see.

Today I got H4 visa at mumbai counsulate after 221(G) for register marriage certificate.I submitted the register marriage certificate and no questions issues h4 visa.good luck

It is like Indian railway reservation counter
Hi Guys,
I got my H1B stamped. I attended interview in chennai on last monday. Frankly, nothing worry when you go there. Just imagine how will be an air conditioned indian railway reservation counter with US people giving you the tickets (It will happen after few years :))
Actually I was so cool. There were around 300 people standing/sitting there. VO asked me few questions like why you wanna go to US, abt current project and profile with US company and two tech questions. thats all

i was rejected once h1b i wanna apply again need info regarding that
hi friends i have applied h1b visa 3 years back i was issued an 221g saying that produce client letter i talked to my employer and i have submitted that but later after 3 months i got my passport back and white ltter came saying that my visa has been rejected..later i came top know that the client letter which i have prdoced was enquired in usa(usis)..if i aplly h1b again will it be a probolem will the vo play iwth me again pls mail me regarding this it will be helpful for me i really appreciate ur help

I have attened interview on 1stfeb, Vo asked me to submit all the 9doc in the form of pettioners side. on 3rd march i have submitted all the doc in the vfs office. so Can i get any information how many days will it take for CONSULATE to respond and probability of getting VISA

got 221g delhi counslate help me
Hi Friends this is ravi i am watching this site for the last 4 years . Recently i attended for
h1-b visa at delhi counslate that time visa office issued me 221g asking for project descrption,unemployement wage reports,tax papers and asked me to drop the documents and passport through vfs.During the interview time visa officer asked me about project,i said i am going for inhouse project .Afetr that she asked me project name i said AAA as project name.The problem is now my employeer is sending me client letter and client details .So i can submit like this or it may be any problem if i submit client letter.In 221g form she marked client or inhouse both so can anyone please suggest me in this.

Got the Visa after three 221g's
Hi All,
THANK GOD….. I GOT the visa at last after (3) 221g’s.
I have submitted my passport on 27th Feb, got the visa on 04th Mar 2008 through blue dart. Actually the visa stamp date is 29th Feb itself. Due to Saturday and Sunday in between took almost 6 days.
This LEAP YEAR proved lucky for me.
All the best to others, whoever waiting on AAP.
Do not loose hopes…..

What does this mean.

The second 221g mentions the Additional Administrative Processing. The consulate will contact me once the processing is done.
Anybody with the same experience or somebody who can help and suggest me is most appreciable.

Required Documents for H1B
Hi All,
Can anybody help me in knowing what are all the reqd documents to get H1 stamping. My husband got the peteition approved last year but due to the recession news in US and not so sure abt the consultancy through which he applied he kept on postponing attending the interview..
Now I am forcing him to attend the interview and later see what happens. So pls exactly let me know what are all the reqd documents so that we can get all from the person of consultancy as he stays in US.

Do not come to USA on H1-B
Hello all,
Here i am sharing one of my experince to you people. please do not come on H1b visa in to the USA. I am here since last 3 months but didnt get any calls. USA is heading in to te the recession or i wud say near to recession. There is no money to pay with the companies. U will find lots of layoff in all sectore including software.
U can imagine the situaion by being unemployed for 3 months in USA and just watintg for calls. After sometime i will have to do part time FALTU job if i wont get job. I am ready to cum to india if my consultant gives me back the amount he has taken for security OR i can say as a h1b filing fees 1.5 lacs. so understand the horrible situation here. u wil get stuck as i am. Rather its good to get job in india and have some good experince. This conutry will take time to pave this financial crisis.
God bless you. I will be happy if you folllow this statements and take a good decesion in ur life. Also, ask ur frnds in USA about the job situation here. Then u might beleave.

I got my h1b stamped today after 221(g) issued me on Jan10 2008. I have submitted the docs on Feb 25th and I received my passport stamped today(Mar 04, 2008).
