L1A Blanket Approved at Chennai Consulate
I have read a lot of experiences on this website before appearing for my L1A Blanket Visa interview so felt obliged to add my experience also.

I went with Spouse and both kids (although could have avoided taking kids). Reached consulate 10 mins before appointment time. Note - Mobiles are not allowed inside so leave it at hotel etc. No need to wear coats/suits/tie, I went with plain formal shirt and trousers.

There were very efficient coordinators instructing L1 Blanket candidates to arrange the required docs in specific order. I had huge documentation with me as provided by my company's attorney, none of which was required. You only need I129S Form and L1 Blanket Petition First Page I797A in triplicate.

Long queues inside with consulate and my visa interview took almost 1.5 hours of wait time. It was not more than 3 mins of interview, most of the time visa officer spent typing on computer. Following questions asked in sequence:

1. So you work with "XYZ Company"?
2. What is your current designation?
3. Which city would you be working in US?
4. What would be your Salary in US?
5. Would you have people reporting to you in US?
6. How many of the direct reports would be in US? (This question matters most I believe)

Stamped I129S with approved stamp, kept our passports in his tray and continued typing. After 30 secs or so he said - Have a nice trip, your visa is approved. I thanked him and we stepped towards exit.
No questions were asked to family.

Answer honestly and keep your focus towards visa officer. Hope this experience helps someone!

L1B Blanket
Blanket visa interviews are only available in Chennai, so I kept both biometrics and interview on the same day, 2 hours apart.

Biometrics:
My appointment was at 9.30 AM. I reached by 8:40 AM, went in and everything was super smooth. You just need to follow the instructions and you'll be out in no time. I was done by 9:05 AM. You can use Uber/Ola to arrive from your hotel, autos charge way too much. I then took an Uber to the consulate.

Interview:
My interview time was 11:30 AM but I reached at around 9:15 AM. The person at the initial check asked me to wait until 10:00 AM. I waited at the bus stop and entered the area. There were multiple people who asked if you have cell phones, wallet etc. I was standing in queue for about 20 mins and then got inside. There was a security check after entering a build and then blanket visa applicants were asked to arrange the docs in a specific order. This is the order:

3 x (First 8 pages of I129S then first page I797)
DS160 confirmation page
DD (If you have it. Make sure to write your name and passport number behind the DD.)
Passport

Give these documents to the staff and they'll staple the sets and put rubber band on your documents. Carry these as-is for rest of the procedure. Next I was asked to sit and wait because the DD guy was not at the counter. He came in about 5 mins, took the DD and stapled 2 receipts to my documents. In the next counter they just checked my passport. Then in next counter, they took fingerprints and then finally joined the queue for actual interview.

This is where the heart beat went through the roof. There were some 20 people ahead of me. There are all sorts of visa interviews in progress (student, business, etc). They're quite audible so avoid listening if you can. Two people got rejected in front of my eyes so I got even more scared. I was feeling sick through my stomach and was just trying to wait and not think about it. Sing "Aunty ki Ghuntey" if that helps. Finally, my number came and the interviewer looked like a nice Asian-American man in his 30s. He took the documents, I put my files on the slab and greeted the person. My legs were kinnda shaking and my confidence went even more down. He starts questions:

VO: What is your Job title?
(I stuttered a bit for some reason)
Me: Software Engineer

VO: What will be your duration in the U.S.?
Me: 3 Years

VO: How long have you been working for ZZZ?
Me: 1 Year

VO: What is you salary in ____ ?
*There was a loud noise in the counter next to me so I couldn't hear properly. I asked current salary or in the US? He said US.*
Me: $xxx,xxx per year

VO: And what is your specialisation?
(I gave a very short 2 line answer)
Me: I specialise in developing YYYY tool. It is used by YYYY to do YYY for ZZZ.

VO: Ok, you said you made a tool, right? Will you be working at a client location?
Me: No, the prototype was created by the company but I've been working on it since I joined. There is no client, I am going to the parent company.

VO: Ah, alright. I am approving your visa, please give me a minute to finish your paper work. Give one copy to your HR and show one at the port of entry, every time you enter the U.S.
Me: I paused for a second and said Thank you.

My advice: Just follow what they say and try not to panic at any stage. Everyone talks nicely and they're not out to get you. Give short crisp clear answers and don't get technical (they don't care). It is OK if you mess up, just keep telling the truth.

I got my OFC scheduled on 03rd Sep in Delhi Nehru Place OFC. Appointment time 13:30. It was sunday and it took hardly 15 min for the whole process.
Pro tip: Park in the OFC building, Eat at Sona Sweets Nehru place(Recommended) :)

11th September
Since it was L1B, I had my OFC at US consulate, Chennai.
Reached on 10th september. Stayed at Courtyard by Mariott. Good hotel.

After several security checks, proceeded inside. The guy(tamil) arranged the documents. Went ahead.
Paid FPD fee.

Then waited in line. The heart started pounding in last 5 min.

Finally reached the window.

VO: Good sir, we all depend on your company to live here, so it makes sense for us to send you back to work :).. Your visa is approved
Me: (Blank for a while) ...stammering...it is my fortune :P

Did not ask anything to my wife.

We left, we were smiling too much that probably no one else was smiling this big in whole consulate :D

In my experience, your company reputation really matters here.

L1A Blanket & L2 Approved
Hi guys, i would like to share my experience here so that you might find some answers for any questions.

I had scheduled my Visa Fingerprint and Interview on the same day, 23rd Aug ,2017. Before this, i did lot of preparations, through internet search, reading through other's experience, and most importantly, signing up for Intent Filling sessions (both prep & mock interview).

Experience on the interview date:
I strongly advice you just go 15 minutes before your interview time. There is no need to go 2-3 hours ahead of time and wait in the hot sun. I had my interview scheduled at 11:30. I entered the consulate around 11:00. Once you enter, there will be a desk where the lady would ask you to arrange your documents in 3 sets (only for L1A Blanket). Others do not have to stop at this table. Once the documents are arranged, you will need to get into one more queue. I had gone with my wife and kid, and looking at the kid, i was allowed to skip through the queues, and go directly to all the counters. Once you enter the main building, you will be asked to pay the $500 anti fraud fees. Once you pay, the next counter is for re-checking the finger prints and passport. After this is the actual interview counters. Again, since i had my kid along, i was allowed to go right ahead in the queue.

Questions in the Interview
VO: Good Morning
Me: Good Morning Ma'am
VO: Which is your petitioning company?
Me: Answered
VO: When are you planning to travel?
Me: Answered
VO: What is your designation?
Me: Answered
VO: How many people would report to you in US?
Me: Answered
VO: What are the titles of the people reporting to you?
Me: Answered
VO: What would be your US salary?
Me: Answered
VO: For how many years you are going to US?
Me: Answered

VO:<To my Wife> How many years have you been married?
Wife: Answered
VO: <Jokingly> Big Anniversary is coming up..!!!
VO: <To my Wife> How old is your daughter?
Wife: Answered

VO: Your Visa is APPROVED. You will receive your passports back in 3-5 working days. Have a nice day.
Me: Have a nice day, you too...

After then the wait started. There is a website where you can check your visa status. CEAC. I checked the next day morning (24th Aug) and my wife's and daughter's visa was showing as "Issued". Mine was showing as "Administrative Processing". I started researching about AP. What i read kinda scared me, as i read there was long waiting times for AP. Since 25th Aug was a holiday, and 26th & 27th was weekend, i did not expect any development until 28th. On 28th around 11:30 AM, my status changed from AP to Issued. I received all passports on 30th Aug.

Good Luck..!!

L1B Blanket and L2 visa approved , chennai
Hi all ,
My visa interview was scheduled on 1st Sep at US Consulate chennai. I took a hotel which is near by to US consulate The park , it's hardly 200 ms from the interview place so it's advisable to stay near the consulate .
My interview was scheduled at 9:00 am but I reached at 7.30 am to the place, there was a huge line in front of the gate local authorities are there to guide you throughout as to how to proceed .
Firstly they check ur passport , then you get inside the consulate and then they check whether u carried any watches or mobile it's better not to carry any of these things as nothing is allowed inside except your L1 DS-160 appointment , I-129S, I-797 (first page) and a fraudulent cheque DD together. In my case I had my wife together so they only want the passport of her . They compile all the documents together and then u get inside, there is a huge line inside too .

Final interview
I went to counter no 32 where already one interview was happening, it's quite audible with how the interview goes . The girl got her. Visa approved . The it was me n my wife turn .

Questions to me
ME : good morning officer
VO : good morning , please provide me your passports

VO: where do you work ?
ME: xxxx co.

VO: what will be your designation at US ?
ME: replied as asked

VO: what will be your package at US ?
ME: xxxx numbers

VO: what's your specialised knowledge ?
ME: explained

Questions to my wife

VO: it's been how long that u r married mam ?
Wife replied

VO: what's your highest degree of qualification ?
Wife replied

Then he says YOUR VISA IS APPROVED SIR.

and that's about it . We were done !

Key highlights :-
I can't say don't be nervous , that happens but obviously . But stay confident , calm n keep smiling . They r sitting there to grant you visas . If your case is genuine u r going to get it . Don't bother about who is getting the visa or who's not . Just try to concentrate only on your matter . It's going to click !!!

All the best !! God bless .

L1-B Individual(Visa Approved) at Hyderabad
Hello Friends,

I am here to share my experiences that I faced at Hyderabad US Consulate for my visa interview.
I hope it will be useful to any one.

My visa interview happend on 1st-sept-2017. Took my OFC a day before it(31st August).
I've stammering problem and I've prepared over night infront of mirror before my interview for all the questions like
1. What's your specialization?
2. Why you? why not others?
3. Duties at offshore/onshore? like this.

I entered into the consulate on 1st septemeber and done with all the security checks and everything. I've recieved a counter no# 10 card which I was expecting, because most of the folks who so ever went to that counter are coming back with a big smile on their faces.
So I was standing at counter no 10 behind a couple(guess they came for B1/B2 interview) who were giving their interview. I was rewinding all those answers which I've prepared for and my heart is beating at high rate with tention.
Now it's my turn, VO anounced "NEXT".
Visa officer is a lady and she's very cool. She greeted me with a fabulous smile on her face and that moment I forgot everything and gave a smile back by greeting her.
VO: Confirmed my DOB as "So your DOB is YYYY X"?
Me: Yes, that's correct mam.
VO: "Took some pause by typing something and asked me", Did you applied for any US universities? or Have you been to US anytime before? (I think, She asked me this question coz I've neatly shaved and looking like a kid ;) ).
Me: No, mam.
VO: So you work for YYYY company?
Me: Yes, mam.
VO: How long you working for YYYY ?
Me: YYYY years mam.
VO: Cool, So which state and city?
Me: New jersey.
VO: What's your salary at US?
Me: YYYY USD per annum approx.
VO: How long you going to stay in US?
Me: Probably an Year.
VO: Alright Sir, Your "VISA IS APPROVED".
Me: Thanks alot mam, Thank you.

Went back and returned that Counter card to the security who gave me with the same smile like others :)

Thanks to Immihelp and others.

NOTE: Guys, be prepare for the worse and give your best. Prepare all the questions you may face and practice all of them.

ALL THE BEST.
Sharath :)

L1A Individual and L2 approved at Chennai
My VAC was scheduled on 28th Aug at 10.00 AM.
Documents to be brought
• Original Passport along with dependents if applicable
• DS-160 form
• Confirmation form
Please do not carry other documents if you don’t have OFC schedule on the same day
Parking: There is no parking facility available. However you can park your vehicle in the streets next to the building. I parked my car at the left side of the building and it is safe area as well
At VAC:
Please take rear entrance where the security will check your appointment time and allow us inside
Move to first floor where you will be directed to stand on a queue based on the time slot. Need not worry about time slot since if you come early also, you will be allowed
2nd security check:DS-160 confirmation’s bar code will be scanned at the entrance and the passport
3rd Security Check: Both Passport and DS-160 will be verified for confirmation on typos, information provided in DS-160 matches the passport, etc
4th Security Check: Sticker will be pasted at the backside of the passport which will be used as reference for the officers and other security to move further
You will be allotted with a token and when it displays on the screen, go to the respective counter to take finger prints and photo. No worry since all information will be legible and easy for new comers

That’s all at VAC and it would take not more than 15 minutes to complete all these procedures

At OFC on 29th August. My interview was scheduled at 10.30 AM
Reached OFC via OLA around 9.20 AM. I was allowed inside for security check
Since mine was L1A Individual, I was straight away requested for file screening at security
There was a small queue to enter into the interview location
Finger prints and passports were verified again in front of US consulate officers
Then there was a long queue for the F2F interview
Then there came my slot and here are my questions
• You work for YYYY right? [Ans: Yes, I work for ZZZ]
• What does your company does? [Ansered in detail however, VO interrupted and shot new question]
• Who is your client? [Answered]
• So you guys develop mobile apps for ZZZ? [That’s correct]
• Designation in US? [Ans: Project Manager]
• Salary? [Answered]
• How many subordinates [Ans: 5 direct reportees]
• What are their designation [Answered]
• Whom do you report and what is his designation? [Ans: I report to YYYY and he is the Director for Delivery]
• How many years does your reporting manager work in current company? [Ans: I really don’t have the exact number but I am reporting to him for the past two years and 5 months]
• Where do you stay in US? [Ans: New York]

No questions to my Spouse
Then the VO said the golden words “Your Visa is approved. Have a pleasant stay in US. Happy Bon Voyage.”
