I work for a product bases US company. Has 10 years experience. Has been working at US HQ for last 2.5 years on L1B. This time i applied for L1A functional manager category. Here is the interview:
Greeted the lady VO. She has just rejected one L1A in front of me, guys looked much senior with good salary but seems to be working for a client. She asked him if he wants to convert L1A to L1B, the guy reluctantly accepted it. That made me nervous and I was getting ready for rejection .
Questions asked.
VO: which company you work for.
How long you have been in the US.
Which state.
Salary.
Designation, on this when I said senior engineer, she was surprised. I quickly mentioned that I am applying for functional manager role.
What function I manage.
What are my roles and responsibilities.
No of reportees. She herself said no reportee I guess, I said yes :).
How many years I will be in the US.
After this, she asked for the letter from the attorney, she went through the job description and after looking through it for 30 seconds, she started stamping the I129s, I became relaxed. She said your visa is approved.

L1 A Visa Extension during AOS process
Hi,
My L1A Blanket visa is getting expired in 3 months. My company filed for the green card but dates are not current for AOS. During the green card process, I did receive Advance Parole EAD/I-131 valid till the end of 2020.
• Do I need to have both valid L1 visa extended or can I use Advance Parole EAD for employment and travel in and out of US?
• Is ongoing AOS process create any risk for L1 visa extension or L1 visa extension create any risk for the AOS process?
• Can L1A be extended within the US or I need to go to India for the consular interview?
I'll appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

L1 - I129 Extension - No Update Texas Service Center

Prize Money for L1A or EB1c/EAD
I am on L1A (which means - it's employer-sponsored) and then on EAD as a result of AOS process after I-140 approval
Am I allowed to accept prize money from competitions and hackathons?
I understand taxes need to be paid on it.

Question in person/entity paying for your trip for L1visa
Do I have to refill the DS-160 form? I remember having filled the "Person paying for your trip" as "Present employer” but when I printed out the entire DS-160, it shows as blank.I realised this Before visa fee payment .Can anyone please suggest...

First of all, thank you everyone in this forum. Experiences posted here helped greatly in my preparation.
Timeline:
Petition Submitted through Premium Processing: 3rd week of Jan 2019
Petition Approved: last week of Jan 2019
Service Request raised for correction: 1st week of Feb 2019
Service Request Completed: last of Mar 2019
Visa Bio-metrics: 1st week of May 2019
Visa Interview: 11th Jun 2019 (along with spouse and 5-year-old kid)
My Visa Appointment is at 8:30 AM and I reached US Consulate at around 8:15 AM. By that time, they started letting in people for 8:30 slot.
After security check, we wait for 10 minutes for Bio-metric check. After Bio-metric check, we were asked wait in waiting hall for 10 minutes. From waiting hall, they allowed us into a queue… where Visa Officer counter will be allocated. We moved to counter based on allocation.
Below are the questions to me:
1. How long have you been working with current Employer?
2. What is your highest qualification?
3. What are your responsibilities?
Below are the questions to my spouse:
1. How long have you been married?
2. What’s your child age and single child?
VO asked us to go to Counter 6 to submit photograph of Kid and come back. We submitted and came back to VO. VO checked something in system and said… I am approving your visa and you are good to go!
Tips:
Speak confidently
Maintain eye contact
Dress well. Formal shirt, pant and shoes should be fine.

L1A Individual upgrade normal to Premium Processing
Hii All,
My Company Attorney filled L1A Individual in normal processing on August 03, 2018 in California Service Center, unfortunately did not received any update since today.
Now company decided to upgrade this application in Premium Processing (PP) in this week.
Is there any one who is facing such kind of issue.....?
I need help regarding of.......
1. What are the chances of RFE in PP....?
2. What kind of Evidence can be asked in RFE..?
3. If I want to check status of my PP application , what detail should I ask to Employer/Attorney..?

L1 B Individual | Passport going to be expired in next 6 months
I applied for my L1B Individual VISA which is approved by USCIS but post-approval I realized that current passport is about to expire in the next 6 months. I have taken the following steps:-
1) Got a new Passport once I got the appointment date, I didn't have the luxury to wait since usually, it's difficult to get an appointment since the waiting periods are in months.
2) Filled a new DS-160 with my new Passport number.
3) Updated this new DS-160 confirmation number on Appointment confirmation Page. Since I cannot update my passport number in my profile under UStravel docs website, it's still reflecting the old passport number. I am planning to carry both passports.
I assume I797B Approval notice isn't bound to passport number though I see Form I-129 has my old passport information. I hope this isn't a problem and I think the above-performed steps are substantial. Please let me know if there is anything missing. Also if you can help me to understand what sort of questions I can expect in the interview?
