L1b visa approved but still showing administrative processing
Hi All,

I had my L1b individual visa interview on May 24 and it was approved by the visa officer in chennai consulate. However when I check the visa application status it shows as administrative processing. Can any one of you please let me know if this is normal? Has anyone attended interview on May 24 and what is the visa application status?

Thanks,
Krishna

L1B blanket visa approved
Thanks to all the forum members for sharing your experiences. This really helped in my preparation.

Working in a top networking product company. In the company for past 6 years.
Attended interview with wife and kid.
The entire interview process took close to an hour.

Questions asked:
1. Applying for L1B from XX company?
2. What is the designation offered?
3. What is the salary?
4. Will you work at client location?
5. Where are you going to work?
6. What is your specialisation?
7. Follow-up question on specialisation.

Thats it. After few seconds, stamped my form and the VO said your visa is approved.

L1 interview help
Hi,
I have a H4 visa currently (after marriage) and had a visiting visa (Before marriage). And my company is in the process to apply a L1B for me.currently. While this process goes on, i want to visit my husband in the US for a couple of weeks taking a 'work from home' option

1. Can i travel on H4? Or should i use my visiting visa option?
2. Does using my H4 visa affect the L1 visa processing?
3. Will my L1B visa interview get afffected if they know i have a h4? As in will it undermine my case of "specialized knowledge" giving an impression that this is a personal transfer than a need for the skill in US?

I have to submit certain training documents, ppts, pdf as a response of RFE question. How can we index them if we are submitting everything in one document?
Also, do we send a hard copy or the digital copy of the response?

My L1 - B visa experience
In comparison, the process for the petition to be approved was very long but the interview was very short. Prepare for all the questions in the below link and get ready for the interview. It is not going to be easy, but when we are prepared we don't have to be worried. Be confident to explain your case and read the petition carefully to answer exactly how the petition was filed. Do not answer any different than what is mentioned in the petition. If your client is not popular to the public, be prepared to answer about your client and the work they do as well. According to me, below four questions are very important.

1. What is your specialized skill which only a few in the world would have the knowledge on ?
2. Why only you have to do the work and why not someone else in the company do it ?
3. Why can't the work be done from your own country rather than travelling to USA ?
4. What is the impact if you don't travel to USA ?

L1A Blanket 221g Blue Slip
Hi,

I had my interview today at Chennai. The questions asked to me were very basic without delving down into details. At the end, the VO handed the 221g Blue slip and stamped "Not Clearly Approvable".

Going through numerous pages, I guess this has become a standard norm for most L1 cases.

Requesting you to guide me with the next steps. What does the Blue slip mean and what are the chances and timelines of approval if further documentation is shared to support the case?

I'm yet to get any concrete feedback and info from my company's immigration team, but would request the forum to provide guidance.

Thanks in advance.

L1B blanket... approved..
This website helped me a lot, so I also want to give some back...

L1B Questions are regular, and already told by many people here...

But some advices from me...
1) just go there on time only, no point to go even 5 minutes before.
2) greet VO with smiling face
3) prepare your question-answers and do rehearsals at least 25-30 times from 10days before the interview.
4) If you didn't understand the question, ask again and again but don't give answer without understanding the proper meaning of question.
5) stick to the explanation which have written on your documents.
6) speak slow and clear...keep your answers shorter...

All the best to all...
