I have another application for my wife, with same timeline but it is still showing "UNDER PROCESS"
our travel plan is in fourth week of December, already got X1 visa, still waiting for X1 visa for kids, didn't expect that we will get OCI in time...

11/24/21 - Processed and Dispatched from MEA Delhi
11/24/21- Received by Chicago Consulate
12/2/21 - Got Fedex shipping notification
12/3/21 - OCI Received

Hope this helps to anyone trying to track updates. It took 41 days (6 weeks) from from day sent to VFS to the day I received the OCI.

Hi, I am new to this forum. I apologize if this might not be the right place to post this but I have had a harrowing experience applying for the OCI card through VFS. I applied on Nov 15th 2021, sent all the relevant documents and then got an email from VFS saying that a) my photos were missing and b) the lease aggreement that I sent is not a valid proof of residence. So first of all I had correctly sent two pictures (hard copies) and then my lease was a valid UNEXPIRED Lease for over a 6 month period. After numerous calls one call centre representative was kind enough to understand that essentially the particulars of the error are not specified and a missing picture is just a blanket term. So he created a new ticket and forwarded it to the documents team. I moved to a new state recently so unfortunately by the time the driver's license /utility bill would appear in my name it would be well past the deadline and so I requested for a refund through their forum. Has any one else run into a similar situation? If so, how long did it take to get the refund? They say 10-15 days after official rejection it should be made available. How true is that I wonder! Lastly , I just want to verify that is using utility bill as proof of residence is it ok to have my name and my spouse's name there as well.

-11/23/2021 OCI card was DELIVERED!!
36 days from submitting my application to OCI card being delivered!!!!!!
I communicated a lot through email [email protected] and was able to get status updates on my OCI card.

DOA is 10/21. OCI status enquiry website shows status as 'Under progress'. Anybody recently got a OCI for minor from Houston CGI? Have a travel coming up shortly.

Hi All. I could use some help. My OCI has been pending for 2 months at Washington DC embassy and government status still shows "under process". Any tips on what I could do from here? I know VFS will be useless but will any other contact info help?

I am looking for help in finding out what happened to my mother in law's application for OCI. The application was filed on August 1st week. The status of the application has been "Under Process" from august 14th. I have tried calling VFS, calling the consulate, emailing and tweeting. I have also tweeted to the Indian embassy at DC. None of the approaches have been successful and I have not been able to reach anyone who can help. VFS told me that the application is out of their system, so they cannot help. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is there anyway to contact someone at the consulate in San Francisco to find out the status of the application?
