Hi All,
We applied OCI for our daughter and the status is “ Your application has reached at the Embassy/Consulate and is currently under review process” (or) “UNDER-PROCESS)” for almost 10 weeks.
We planned to travel to India by e-visa and what if we receive the card when we are overseas? Is there any way we can hold it in FedEx or anyone can collect it on our behalf? Please kindly share your experiences and suggestions.

JAN 11 - We have ‘Received’ your Application and your application is now ‘Under Process’ at VFS India Consular Application Centre and will be submitted to the Mission for decision making.
JAN 12 - Your Application has been ‘Processed’ at the VFS India Consular application Centre and currently is ‘In-Transit‘ to the Embassy of India/Consulate General of India for decision making.
With the hope that 5-6 week OCI processing period would end on FEB 24th I have booked flight tickets to India for my son and my wife for MARCH 9th with a return flight on MAY 22nd and I'm hoping I would receive the OCI card by then. While I'm planning to travel separately to India a month later in APRIL.
Question: If I don't receive the OCI card by end of FEB I'm planning on applying for eVisa for my son which is only given for 30 days. If he goes to India in March on e-VISA, can he return to US on OCI card (which I would take with me when I go to India in APRIL)?
I've found out that it's risky to apply for Paper based VISA at the point of time since it could take 15+ business days at minimum.
Any help is highly appreciated.
