under process at the VFS Indian Consular Application Centre.
10/8/2021: VFS NYC - Your Application has been ‘Processed’ at the VFS India Consular application Centre
and currently is ‘In-Transit’ to the Embassy of India/Consulate General of India
for decision making. As soon as VFS India Consular application Centre receives an
update, the status on the ‘Track and Trace’ page will be revised accordingly.

New OCI card time line: Adult: Washington DC location: Took 2 months door to door.
01 September 2021: Documents were mailed (Text received from VFS)
03 September 2021: VFS processed and submitted application to Washington DC consulate.
07 September 2021: Documents reached Delhi Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
26 October 2021: Application was processed and OCI printed at Delhi MEA.
27 October 2021: OCI card was dispatched by Delhi MEA.
27 October 2021: OCI card was received by Washington DC Embassy.
29 October 2021: OCI card dispatched by VFS through FEDEX.
31 October 2021: Email received from FEDEX that OCI card will be delivered.
01 November 2021: Received text from VFS that the card is dispatched.
01 November 2021: OCI card was delivered.
Note: You will not get any communication except when the documents are in hands of VFS. If you wish to check the status, you need to check at Indian government website at https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury.
I did not self attest my passport copies, my application was approved without self attestation of passport copies.
Also I did not send original passports (Indian or USA) to VFS.
Make sure you have already gotten your renunciation certification before you apply for OCI card as like in olden days you cannot apply for renunciation and OCI card concurrently.

Overstaying in e-Tourist VISA
I have to travel to India with my newborn on Nov 16 and I may not get her OCI until end of Nov. I already have a 30 days e-Tourist VISA approved for her. Can I leave with e-Tourist VISA and overstay beyond 30 days assuming I receive her OCI card before her e-VISA expiration date? I can have someone courier the OCI to me when it arrives. Will this cause any issue during returning?

VFS received the application on Sep 28. However they sent it to the Consulate only on Oct 5-6.

Can anyone please advise what is the processing time and fees for entry visa for minor us citizen if Indian origin.
My travel.is booked for 10 November and I still don't have any update on oci application of my daughter.
