Question for OCI application - Chicago
Hi Guys,
I am waiting on my passport to receive back with the cancelled stamp. I was looking for the information on OCI application on the VFS site along with the checklists and got couple questions and hoping if anyone can answer/guide.
1) on the VFS site, under OCI services, Step No: 3 states that "If you are part of a family or group, you’ll have to create an individual profile for each member of the family or group." Does that mean that I need to create an account for my baby as well?
2) Regarding the self attestation of the documents for minors, what's the best way to self-attest the documents for minors like a baby? Should we paste the thumb print on the documents - Left side in case of baby boy. Should that only suffice the requirement? Or Along with his thump print both parents need to sign and/or state the name? Or in place of a baby only either or both parents can put the name & sign? I am not very clear on this requirement if anyone can enlighten me on this?
3) For a name change, My first name as per Indian passport stats as "Parthkumar" but during the naturalization my First name was changed from "Parthkumar" to "Parth" only kumar is not my surname but in my passport I got "free" kumar along with my real first name as per SLC (School leaving). Should that be considered as name change? If so then, do I need to submit a notarized name of change affidavit? Or If I can include the endorsement during Naturalization should meet the requirement?

After 4months still waiting for my OCI card
I have applied my OCI card on 24th June 2021. But still it shows on process. On mea.gov.in website it says it will take 30 day to max 120 days , it almost has 120 days. When I called to Atlanta consulate nobody ans the call or reply my email. Anybody have any suggestions whom to contact so I can know what’s going on with my application.

OCI Atlanta DOA Sept 22
Hi guys, I applied for my OCI through my husband at the Atlanta office. My DOA is Sept 22. I am very worried as I have to go to India in 2 weeks. Anyone else have the same issue? Any suggestions? Appreciate all your help.

SF OCI Application update
Applied for myself and my wife Below are the timelines
Sept 21st 2021: Shipped both our applications to VFS SF.
Sept 22nd 2021: Both of us get Your application is received from vfs.
Oct 02nd 2021: Received your Application and your application is now ‘Under Process’ at San Francisco.
Oct 05th 2021: Application has been ‘Processed’ at the VFS India Consular application Centre
Oct 06th 2021: Date Of Acknowledgment from oci website.
Will update as i get more information, we are travelling Nov 12th so i am hoping i get the OCI in hand by then. Wondering what options i have to travel
just in case i dont get it.

Reissue of OCI application - Rejected for Child - Need help
As per the instruction on OCI website, we were to upload new passport copy (after passport renewal) of my daughter and photographs. We did it.
Now the status says -
Your application has been rejected by competent authorities with remarks : OCCUPATION SHH
We don't know what does this mean or How to get around with this....
Kindly help.

New Adult OCI New York timeline
I have no idea what is going on??? The OCI card is with CGI NY since October 12th and there has been no further updates and nor has VFS sent an email that the OCI is processed. I sent an email to VFS on October 13th yet no reply??? Any one else in a similar situation?

OCI APP SUBMITTED in person at BLS Brampton 3 Sep 2016 for 2 adult 1 child (surrender was applied a year back and was already in possession of surrender certificate)
