UPDATE N400 Interview - Los Angeles
Just received a notice letter that they will do my I-751 with my N400 tmw and I should bring my spouse.
so at least now we know its a combo

I think they are sending the I-751 interview notices within the same week of the scheduled N400 interview either by call or mail or email

Note: they haven't changed my online status for my I-751 its still transferred to NBC

wish me luck
and good luck to all

Portland Or, N-400 interview experience
The officer was vey nice but also professional. Started with the writing and reading test, then civic questions and after that he asked me questions from my application. If you get approved, you will take the oath with the immigration officer and they will issue in less than an hour the citizenship certificate. They were running like 30 minutes late with the appointments, so the interview was almost 20 minutes but then I had to wait in the lobby for the certificate so I will strongly suggest to park few blocks down from the office where there are 4hours spots so you don’t have to worry that your parking time expires. Also, if you wanna apply for the expedite passport (4-6weeks) you need to make an appointment at the Post Office and they are booked for months in advance.

sharing thoughts - california -2 prior to n400 interview- i751 pending
-I will post both timelines for my cases in the comments
-I have an attorney who handles both cases

- 2019 I-751 filler and it seems like they totally forgot about us
- filing for I-751 without the n400 is faster ( in my experience)
- the estimate case time on your account is not accurate
- the bio reuse for my n400 was on my online account before mailing the actual hard copy
-if you are receiving unemployment get your Infopass appointment for the i-551 stamp ahead of time to avoid problems with EDD

venting:

-as much as I was excited for my n400 interview scheduling
I was and still am extremely nervous. those past two weeks before my interview are worst than waiting all these 4 years
I had so many thoughts about my interview and how its going to be
is it a combo ? are they gonna approve both? what if I had to wait again for my I-751? what if I had to wait months for my oath?
is the officer going to be rude? what if I had a I-751 interview and they weren't satisfied with the evidence? how Long is it going to be for my passport?...etc

per my attorney for the n400
- study your application
- memorize the dates your employment and all the important dates on it
- understand the hard words at the end of the application (the officer might ask if you know the word genocide ...etc)
- study for civics test
- bring marriage certificate, passport, ID, green card, husband's original birth certificate

per my attorney for the I-751
- they won't ask anything not usual
- bring your tax returns for the last 3 years
- might ask about husband address, work title ... basics

ofc because I am an over thinker
-I prepared a huge binder (I-751 filed jointly btw)
-tax returns- tax returns check- stimulus check with both our names - IDs - joint bank statements - my pay stubs showing same address- health insurance-auto insurance- life beneficiary- savings account beneficiary- authorized on my credit card- dental insurance- pictures- msgs- social media screenshots- junk mail showing same address- tickets- receipts -voided checks basically all the mail since I stayed here 2017-2021

- prepared extra copies for identification cards
- added all USCIS mail
-added my unemployment appeal
-added my car tickets and evidence that I paid them ( important)

obviously I am panicking lol

I also went over all the dates with my husband since we got married until now ( men forget)
birthdays
anniversaries
new years
what we got each other for our birthdays and so on
when we got our court marriage
when we got our wedding
where
how many guests
family siblings friends
addresses of my previous jobs
addresses of his current and previous jobs

I prepared myself for an interrogation basically lol

I just felt like talking and sharing my thoughts with you guys
my n400 interview is Friday this week
please pray for me

on a side note 2020 filers and 2021 filers please stop complaining about when ur going to receive an answer

Sacramento field office - Interview Completed
Hello Everyone
Wanted to share my interview experience at Sacramento field office.
Arrived 30 minutes before and allowed to enter building before 15 minutes of interview time, security check done and asked questions about COVID, then moved to 2nd floor, one more officer took my attendance and took my temperature thru stand thermometer and also asked did I travel beyond 150 miles with in last 14 days? Answer is No for me as I did not travel then next moved to check-in window, got my token number and sat for 10-15 minutes, felt like I was the last one for the day of interviews, officer called my name and walked to interview room, officer was cool and quickly completed civics first, passed, then reading and writing, passed. Then Yes/No questions was asked and completed.
Finally officer said I passed N400 naturalization interview
Online status got updated immediately and says “oath will be scheduled”.
Hope this helps everyone waiting for interviews at Sacramento office

I have just one question, does name change judicial oath take longer time than administrative oath? If yes please share your experiences about name change judicial oath ceremonies at Sacramento office

Oath ceremony: Speeding Ticket
Did the oath today.

They ask a specific question: since your interview have you committed any crime ... including a speeding ticket?

I don’t know what happens if you say yes.

Just wanted to warn everyone to drive extra carefully between interview and oath ceremony.
