I751 and N400 taking forever
Here is the timeline which is not completed for me yet.I got my GC with marriage in 2019 November.
I751 Applied in August 2021 (roughly 3 months before the expiration date) I got 18, 24 and 48 months of extensions in different times.
Applied N400 in September 2022. Got the biometric reuse notice online in the next day.
On September 2023 My i751 case moved to another center.
N400 says "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" . Never changed since the day one I applied
. I'm waiting for N400 over 14 months as of today.

Have anyone experienced cases like this? How long it does take to proceeds? I'm in Boston area,
I never changed my address, and occasionally left the country for short times.

One of my friend have a similar case, she applied around October 2022 the same time, and her case also not moving forward like mine.

Update on Jan 30th, 2024:
The date on my case status got changed, but nothing else.
As of January 30, 2024, we are actively reviewing your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxxx. Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
It used to say Sept 2022...

When I visit my USCIS account and see the case history, it shows that they scheduled an interview, on Jan 30 2024 and then they changed back to the Case is being actively reviewed. I don't understand what is happening. And the estimated time says 8 months.

A couple days later, my I751 application status changed, and received mail, saying my spouse supposed to come as well.

Update on March 7th, 2024
Took both I751 and N-400 interviews on the same day/in the same room/ at the same time. The interviewer called both of us in and was very friendly. He said I submitted a lot of documents which is good, even had a look at the documents for my initial GC submission from 2019. Asked both of us very basic questions, are we still married, where do we live, what are our jobs, who pay the bills, do we have a joint bank account etc. He asked me if I wanted to show him any documents, and I said I brought tax docs, in case you needed it, he said it was fine and did not look. Then he said he approved my i751 application and walked my wife out so he could have done the N-400 Interview.

After small friendly chit-chat, we started the interview, asked 6 questions from the pool of 100, and I answered all of them correctly. Then he asked me to read `What is the first state?` from the tablet and I read it out loud. Then he asked me to Type down `Citizens can vote` on the tablet, and I did. After making me review and sign some paperwork on the tablet, He congratulated me for the success and said unfortunately I couldn't take the oath ceremony on the same day. He walked me out, and he said I should have gone and waited near window 8 and they would call me to give the Oath Ceremony date, which is March 13 (6 days after) the interview.

N400 eligebility
Hi all,

I have a question.
I came USA with K1 visa in October 2019.
and married in October 2019.
applied Greencard in November 2019
received my 2 years Greencard in June 2021
it expired June 2023
I applied remove conditions and 10 years Greencrad in March 2023
status still pending
I am confused because it says you need to married at least 3 years but do I need to after my greencard granted (2021) or total married years (2019)?

So my question is since I am married and living in US for 4 years. Am I eligible for N400 apply for citizenship?

N-400 application processing time increased to 13 months
Hello everyone,
I submitted my N-400 application in San Bernandino, CA office in July. Initially, processing time was 8 months but as of 10/22, it increased to 13 months. Is there a problem with my application? Can someone share if they had the same or similar experience?

Naturalization Interview - Today 23 oct 23 NYC Office
Hi everyone
I had my N-400 (marriage-based) filed on March 03, 2023 - My biometric was redone on 10 April 2023, and interviewed today after the good wait. I passed the interview but the decision was not made. Asked for more documents.
A.O asked the civic test
1. What is an amendment
2. Who is the speaker of the house
3. The House of Representatives has how many voting members?
4. How many US senators are there?
5. How many amendments does the Constitution have?
6. What happened on Sept 11 2001 in the united states?
Answered the first six correctly and did the English test and passed it too.

A.O. was okay and wasn't rude or anything but after reviewing everything did the Pledge of Allegiance. Then she needed some more evidence even giving 3 years of tax returns (filled joint since 2018), a Bank statement, and insurance provided. She said everything is good and suddenly oh needs to have more documents like bank statements needs to show transactions and all.

I would like to hear from others if anyone has a similar situation. I wish everyone all the best. Its all waiting game.

Oath ceremony next week
Hi everyone.
Finally my case is coming to an end , next week I’ll have my oath ceremony for my citizenship. It was long but I got it. This web site has been very informative, thank you to you all.
Now, since my ceremony is next Wednesday and they will get my green card I am aware that I have to apply for a US passport. However, I do have to travel international next weekend. How can I do that if I will not have a green card to come back , nor will I have a passport year as it takes about a month or so to arrive.
Do they give you any type of document that will allow you to travel?
