Are cellphones allowed inside the NYC offices?
Hi - I have an upcoming interview at the Manhattan office and was wondering if cellphones are allowed inside the NYC offices, or should I leave it at home.

Thank you so much!

Dallas filers with name change
Any Dallas N-400 filers who have requested name change?
My wife is attending her interview next week and planning to ask for name change. I saw some filers in this forum who have their oath delayed due to name change. I'm curious how long that wait is going to be. I would appreciate if anyone can share their experience.

Newark NJ N400
Hi, can someone please tell me if they heard anything from Newark office .. I applied last December and had my biometrics done on January and still didn’t get anything until now!! Please if you know anything please share. I was supposed to get married in my country last August and I had to cancel and now I’m having plans for May to get married and I’m too worried that I might not get the interview before that!

N-400 Dallas
Application Filed: 11/15/2019
Biometrics: 12/06/2019
Interview: 11/05/2020
Oath: 11/20/2020

I had an employment based green card.

I reached USCIS about 15 minutes before my schedule but would advise getting there 30 minutes earlier. You need to wait outside the building (follow socially distancing rules) until they let everyone in about 10-15 minutes before the interview. They scan your belongings (you will be asked to remove your belt and shoes). Everyone is then herded to the checkin lanes where they will take your finger prints and picture and ask you to go upstairs. Once you are upstairs, you need to show your interview notice to the receptionist and will be asked to wait in the socially distanced seating area. All this took about 1.5 of the 2 hours that I spent there.

My interview process was straightforward. The IO was very nice. I was sworn in, asked for my green card. She then asked me 6 history/civic questions, read/write exercise, yes/no questions from the application. Then she asked about my employment, family etc.,. I had to sign a few declarations on the iPad through the process. Was then told that my application was approved and I'll hear soon about the schedule for Oath ceremony. The interview took about 15 minutes.

There was an issue with the USCIS case status so I didn't receive an update immediately but received a text the next day. It was a notification that my Oath ceremony was scheduled along with notifications for completion of interview and approval of the case,

Fellow Dallas area residents, the processing is slow as they are scheduling very limited number of interviews due to the current situation. I was one of the last to enter the building but I counted a total of about 25 people and not all of them were for N-400 interviews either. All the best and God bless.

Interview letter N-400
Hello everyone,

I got my interview letter by mail.

I also have it on my online account.

My question is, do I have to take the original letter or is it ok to print out the online one?

Thanks

N400 Timeline (New Hampshire)
Hi,

Can someone from New Hampshire share their N400 experience whether you have went through your naturalization recently or pending for bio or interview. I filed my application last month and would like to know how long it may take on USCIS end before I see any movement on my file from the local office. Please note- I also have I-751 pending.

Thank you for your time and good luck.

I751/N400 pending together
Hi everyone,
Here is my timeline:
I751 Texas CS filed myself:
3/25/2019 - case received
11/18/2019 - biometrics applied
4/30/2020 - case transferred to NBC
11/4/2020 - i551 stamp in my passport

N400 filed with the attorney online, live in Tampa, Fl:
2/21/2020 - case received
2/26/2020 - biometrics scheduled for 3/20/2020, couldn’t attend due to USCIS COVID shut down
Not a word since then

My question is, is anyone in the similar situation?
Second, do you think my attorney could do something and request an interview or get any updates from USCIS or expedite the case somehow? Or would his efforts be same useless as mine? I called USCIS multiple times and they don’t tell anything that I haven’t seen on the website
