I751 and N400 Interview approved today
Office: Miami
Interview schedule for I751: Oct.20 1045am
Interview for N400: Descheduled twice (Apr.24 and Sept.4)

Just wanna share my experience:

We arrived 1030am,IO called us around 1145am (yes, more than 1hr of waiting) but as soon as we entered the room,I mentioned to IO that my N400 is sill pending and was descheduled twice. She said, Yes we will do the interview later after the I751 interview. Are you ready for the test? I said yes. She then mentioned about asking her supervisor if we can do the N400 interview.
She asked us to stand up and raise our right hand to swear.

After that she asked for the GC,Passport and ID (both of us) and for new evidences. I handed her the birth certificate of my 2nd child, original and photocopy (to verify), tax transcripts, new coverage for the insurances. Then she started asking questions: Where did you meet? How many times my husband travelled to my country?when did we marry? what is my legal bame, birthdate, SSN?same question to my husband and then lastly,Verified the signature we initialed on our I751 filed form. Most of the time she was just typing and updating the records. After that she said,We will have to put this in the system and will call you (alone, not with your husband) after 30min. Around 1245pm,she called me again and made me raise my hand for oath taking. Then when she checked in the system,my records wasnt updated yet (probably because its lunch time). She apologized for not checking before calling me again and told me that she will have her lunch first and after 1pm she will call me again for the test. (i know,a lot of 'again' was used lol). around 120pm,she called me and did the oath taking again. As soon as I sat down, she started with the test:

One reason colonists came to America?
What happened at the constitutional convention?
What month do we vote for president?
Who is the father of our country?
One right or freedom from first amendment?

I think she only asked me 5 questions.

Reading: Where is the White House?
Writing: The white house is in washington DC.

After that, she basically went through what i put on my N400 form and asked the Yes and No questions.Next thing, she handed me a piece of paper stating i passe the citizenship test and my application is recommended for approval. Oath taking to be scheduled.

Thats it,I wasn't expecting the citizenship test,i just reviewed it 'again' while we were waiting and my months of waiting is over and done. It could have been done earlier because I wanted to vote but,we all have our own time.

Goodluck to everyone.Patience is a virtue..

Pending N400 and I751
Hi guys,
This blog has been very helpful, and so I’ve been sharing my experience and here’s the latest status.
Today, after 22 months waiting we finally had our I751 interview. Mind this, while waiting for the updates on this case our N400 interview was scheduled and cancelled twice: first time because of the covid lockdown, second time - because they were waiting for both cases to get transferred to the local office and adjudicate both simultaneously. This however didn’t happen, and today we only had our i751 interview.... Sad but at least once case moved further...

So we arrived 15 minutes prior. There were lots of people sitting inside, although all seated 6 feet apart. About an hour later we finally got called in. The officer asked us a ton of questions, including every single detail on how we met, who was wearing what, where we met, what food we had, etc etc. This was almost ridiculous lol. While asking us questions, he kept taking notes and looking at us as if trying to catch a lie or something. He was super respectful and polite, of course, but veeeeery sneaky and suspicious lol. But we’ve been together for 6 years now, 4.5 of which married , so we don’t know why he was being so onto us, although he kind of calmed down towards the end of our hour long interview. Now we’re waiting for the case status to update and for our N400 interview. Everything takes too long...

N400 Citizenship Seattle
I just completed the naturalization process. Here is my timeline:

Field Office: Seattle, WA
Eligibility: 5 years GC

Applied online - receipt date: 5/25/2019
Biometrics: 6/19/2019
Interview Scheduled: 2/10/2020 (Scheduled for 3/19/2020)
Interview De-Scheduled: 3/18/2020
Interview Scheduled: 9/14/2020
Interview & Oath: 10/14/2020

Immigration Officer was very friendly. Asked civics questions and then proceeded to English reading/writing.
After that, we went thru my application, confirmed a few answers. Once it was concluded, she said my application was approved.
We proceeded with the Oath right there in the immigration officer's office. When I was done, she escorted me to a lobby where I waited about 10 minutes for the naturalization certificate. The whole thing lasted about 1h30m.

Thanks and good luck for you all.

Citizenship - Boston
Hi, I just wanted to share my experience of applying for citizenship. My citizenship was based on a 9 year green card - which was received through employment. My office was Boston, MA. I applied on Feb 24th, 2020. I had my biometrics done on the 17th of March. Initially I had a completion date of July 2020, but then that disappeared. I had my interview today (19th October). It went really smoothly. The interview was at 7:45 am, and they called me in at around 8 am. They only asked me for my green card. First were the 6 civics questions, then the writing and reading portions. I was changing my name - so I had a few extra forms to sign (all on the IPAD). Then they went through a series of yes/no questions, and that was it. I was approved. Now waiting for the date of the oath ceremony. Good luck to everyone waiting.
