I751 ready for interview
Hello everyone,
Please I have a question. After I filled for n400 while I751 was still pending. Today, I got notice that case is ready to be scheduled for interview for I751. My question is, will this be a combo interview since I have not done biometric yet for n400 and there is no new update for n400? Or, are they just gonna interview me for I751 and make me come again for n400 interview? I’m super confused.

N-400 Interview New York
STATUS:
My application for Citizenship was approved today. Oath ceremony is 1 month later. I was told that I will be getting notified by mail.(post)
I had applied in Aug 2019. I applied by myself without any external help.
Original N-400 interview was scheduled in March but got re-scheduled to today due to covid.

ME:
* I applied after 5 years of being a permanent resident.
* Got GC via marriage.
* Decided to wait the extra 2 years to be on the safe side.
* My spouse did not come with me.

Experience @ New York Field Office, Manhattan.
* WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES!
* You're supposed to be in line 15 minutes prior to your appointment. They will turn you back if you arrive sooner.
* Security check (like Airport - remove shoes)
* My interview was on the 8th floor
* Line #2 / You are asked for appointment letter and Driver's license. They take a picture and give you a token.
* Immi Officer (in mask) calls you by token number and escorts you to an office room with a plastic barrier on the desk and an ipad in front of you.
* Take the oath of truth
* Presented current Passport + GC + Driver's License (they give back all these to you)
* Civics Test / asked 6 questions / got all of them correct
* Speaking Test / Who was the first President
* Writing: You are supposed to write your answer on the IPAD. I fumbled with the stylus. It's not a great writing tool.
This took 5 minutes.

Then rapid fire questions :
* Question about past travel out of the US
* Question about when I first got my green card.
* 1 Question about any affiliations to groups. I declared all memberships (gym, yoga, non-profits, charities) on my N-400
* 1 Question about Arrests or Detainment. I was detailed once at JFK when I was on H1 because of a silly mistake. I had to get an I-193 visa waiver. I declared that in my N400 application.
* Questions about your marriage and US citizen spouse. (Date of Marriage / Spouse's DOB and details of citizenship)
* Standard Questions about association with any armed services or weapons training. (I'm a wimpy pacifist)
* Question about allegiance and rule of law (Answered I do)
This took another 5 minutes

APPROVAL:
* Officer looked over my file. I was asked to sign 2 places on ipad to certify all my responses.
* Officer approved my application. Handed me Form N-652 stating that my application was approved.
* Officer said that I would be notified of oath ceremony in 1 month and would receive the notification in the postal mail.
* I was out of the building 15 minutes after entering.

PREP:
* I took all previous notices from USCIS and my old passports and old green card.
* I printed my current lease.
* I found this video to be very very helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu9HIWUFoV0
* Civics Test flash cards: https://uscitizenshipsupport.com/us-citizenship-test-flash-cards/

Thanks, Good Luck, and all the best.

Norfolk Interview Schedule
Hi all - I applied for the N-400 while my i-751 form was still pending (applied in February 2019). My I-751 was approved a few weeks ago. Few days later, they scheduled my N400 interview for this september. They didn't list my spouse as one of the person that needs to attend the interview with me. Should my spouse still come with me? What kind of evidence do I need to bring if my i-751 is already approved? Good luck to everything still waiting!!

Timeline - all in 2020
2/21 - Application submitted
2/22 - Biometrics appointment scheduled
3/05 - Biometrics completed
8/11 - Interview Scheduled
