FINALLY N400 INTERVIEW RESCHEDULED IN SAN FRANCISCO
Great news everyone. I was checking my uscis account and found that everything is the same no updates or nothing! And when I clicked on the documents tab, I found a new document dated July 1st. When I checked it I found that its my N400 interview rescheduling notification for July 15th!
I didn’t receive any email notification or a letter in the mail, I found it by chance. Please check your accounts and documents. That is a very short notice, u dont want to miss your inerview.

Although it should be a combo i751 and N400 interview, they asked me to come alone due to Covid19.

Best of luck to me and everyone and will keep you all posted.

Oath Ceremony in San Jose on June 9th
It's been a bumpy road overall - my interview was canceled because USCIS decided to schedule it on December 24 and it was declared a federal holiday. Then I had to wait a few months before my application was approved. Then my Oath Ceremony was canceled because of coronavirus concerns. But after one year of anxious waiting and cancellations, my immigration journey is finally over. I've become a US citizen on June 9th when I said "I do" after a USCIS representative cited the Oath of Allegiance over a bullhorn in the parking lot of San Jose office.

It was a standard set of requirements nowadays - wear a mask, no guests, bring your own pen. The whole experience felt like a drive-through in McDonald's. I was in and out in 30 minutes and I only had to leave my car twice - first to swear in and second - to get my citizenship certificate. A bunch of USCIS employees were helping to direct traffic and were going around cars collecting appointment forms and permanent resident cards. I received a package that had a passport application form, a letter from the President, US constitution, declaration of independence, US flag, an information booklet for new citizens. USCIS employee approached me and collected my Oath notice and permanent resident card. A few minutes later I was asked to step out of the car and wait for the ceremony to begin. The whole ceremony lasted less than 5 minutes and then we were directed to go back to our cars and wait for citizenship certificate. After another 10 minutes or so, I was driving back home as a proud citizen of United States.

Despite the fact that the ceremony was very quick, I am glad that this process is finally over for me. Becoming an American citizen is a very meaningful milestone in my life and I will be carrying this status with respect and dignity.

Now I am embarking on a journey of applying for a passport which is very tricky nowadays. The backlog of 1.6 million applications and US Travel dept is struggling to reopen doesn't help. I think I'll wait it out a few months, hopefully, they will resume expedited processing soon.

USCIS Online Status Update on the weekend?
Has anyone ever had their online status change on the weekend or over a public holiday?

I'm just curious, as I check mine multiple times a day, and just wondered if it's pointless checking on the weekend.

Please Help on Change of Marital Status
Guys my Oat Ceremony will be on July 8th, next week. I was single when I applied for my citizenship, and got married months before that. However, during my interview I didn't not tell them that i was married and noe i was hoping to change it on the day of the ceremony. Do you think if I tell them about it on that day, that it might delay the ceremony or should I get done with the ceremony and change it later...

NYC? requested a name change?
The good news is that the courts move to Phase 2 on July 6th. The bad news is that the judicial oath ceremonies will start only on Phase 3.

So if you requested a name change, the oath may happen by the end of july or early August.
