N400 : No updates after citizenship interview
I attended the Interview on Oct 7th. After Passing the interview, IO gave me the paper. I did not see any updates online... It still says "We scheduled your interview" (both in case status and history). Anyone know how many days it takes to get the Oath ceremony scheduled ? Anyone in the same state with no status updates after Interview. Please share your experiences/ inputs. I am worried.. since no updates after the interview. Thanks
today I attended my interview
Applied for N400, January 15th 2019 , Interview letter September 10th 2019, Interview was today 10/15/2019 time 8:30 am
I went there early , they let you in 30 min prior to the appointment. Went through security, then they said go to window # 1 or #2 , went there, got checked on the computer and got told to go upstairs and wait for my name to be called.... after about 30 minutes of wait, my name was called by an officer and got up and followed him.
He was very friendly, and professional, first he wanted all the passports and ID such as my driver license, and my green card.
Told him that i had made some mistakes on my application and I would like to correct them ( my address was misspelled, forgot to put Germany that I have been to, forgot to put a part time job)
his reply was not a big deal we can fix them.
He was like lets swear about telling the truth and go with the civic test first... questions that i remember were... Name an Indian American tribe, Who is the commander in Chief, who sings bills to become law, and so on dont remember the rest but I knew all in my sleep so i was fine
Then we proceeded with reading test Which was `` where is the white house`` then the writing test was `` the white house is in Washington DC``
congrats you passed the civic test, now lets go with your application
We went through my application and we stopped at the tickets, I gave him the proof that I had taken care off the payments. Then an other section we stopped was the Yes and NO questions `` have you ever been on removal proceedings I was positive absolutely NO, then he asked me if I know what it meant `` i said yes and i told him when you get told to leave the country`` then he explained to me that, that one would be a deportation order... so he explained to me that I actually had been on removal proceeding at one point which is when ever you apply for asylum and go before the judge and he said lets change your answer and correct ti to yes and had me sign the change.
the rest was just fine, he was nice and helpful and boy was I happy to be approved.
I see on my online account that naturalization ceremony has been scheduled and I should be able to see it with with in two days.
I am very happy to almost be a US citizen, and I cant wait to call everyone that already got sworn in `` my fellow citizens`` and also I wish all of you that are on the process a smooth and stress-less ride.
Confusion with naturalization ceremony letter, Please Help
Hi so I received my oath ceremony letter scheduled for November 5, 2019. When I went through the process I told the officer that I wanted to change my first name and she told me it would take longer which I was totally fine with. Waited a couple months and got my letter for a ceremony in November but the problem is that it's scheduled to be at the Baltimore USCIS field office which is where my mom had her ceremony a couple months earlier but she didn't petition for a name change. I thought I needed to go to court for the ceremony (and I'm pretty sure that's what she told me) and appear before a judge so I'm really confused. If anyone went through a similar process in the Baltimore USCIS office please reply.
Can anyone tell me how I can contact Fairfax field office directly. I've been placed in line for oath ceremony for over 6months and noone can help me when I call USCIS.
Since I broke the continuous requirement, I am about to file with 4 years + 1day rule. Does anybody know if I still can take into account the 90 days grace period or do I just need to wait for the 4 years? 4 years in my case would clock in January 2020.
Thank you in advance anyone can help me.
This forum is very helpful and I would like to share my timeline to give an idea to those who are still in process.

I am so thankful that it is almost done. Good luck to everyone and congratulations to those who have positive results.
I had filed for the citizenship online and upload everything in the system rather than mailing the documents. My cased was received and I had my interview back in July for the citizenship. My mistake of not bringing everything I submitted online in paper format with me to the interview caused me a big deal of trouble during the interview. I only took the original copies of our birth and marriage certificates with me thinking, they already have everything I submitted so no need to bering the same documents. Seems like I was wrong.
The IO told me he needed more evidence and I need to submit more documents (what they asked was almost the same documents I submitted along with my initial application so it was not such a big deal.) Long story short, I submitted everything they asked of me within a few weeks after the interview.
Their system only updated on the last day to receive the additional documents saying, additional documents were received which was 2 weeks after the date I mailed them(I have the tracking info etc).. It now has been 70 days (if I go by the date they say they received my response).
My question is, how long do you think it would take them to make a decision? Anyone had a similar experience?
PS: I am already beating myself up by not bringing the rest of the documents with me to the interview so I would very much appreciate if you would only give me some predictive/based on experience answers, seems like I very much need this at the moment :)
My estimated case completion is in 1 month ( November 2019)
I applied in August 2019 ,while checking the status online the estimated wait time for an update for interview or whatever was today so I check the status again and it said, sorry that they are taking longer than expected to process my case , has anyone had this happen will my case still be completed in November or will be extended, worried ?
my oath 12 pm Plano and my spouse interview 12:15 pm Irving.
we have a 14-month old baby. very Active(not stay one place)
Can I bring my baby with me at the ceremony.
or Can my spouse bring baby at her interview?

Thanks, everyone
Hello guys ,
i had my interview last month and passed the exams but decision wasn't made by that time and there was no change on my account " interview was scheduled" but yesterday i noticed that the estimated time for the process which was October disappeared .
is there anyone else who has the same issue that estimated time was removed.
Thanks
