Please help. Interview in less than 2 months after submitted my documents
Good evening, first time here. Let me talk for beginning.
I win GC lottery and rreceived my GC 5 years ago. In Russia I was commited in crime. When I was 16 I took mother car and hit one man. He was injured with broken leg, I have already paid to him and my case has been dissmised by judge decision. When I was in American Embassy in Moscow and I told to them that I was commited in crime. By human word: my crime is not relevant by US crime judgment so they gave to me GC without any problem.
In US I never made any criminal or civil citation. But I recive a notice that I owe some money to Illinois Revenue. But it was mistake and I send to them conclusive proof that I have never lived in Illinois and my case has been dismissed.
So this it my timeline:
July 16 2019 received an application
July 20 2019 scheduled biometric appointment
August 5 2019 reviews my biometric appointment
September 13 2019 we scheduled your interview
How is suppose to be so fast? No this is not fast, this is extremely fast
So what could be wrong? On my interview I will go with lawyer, but any ideas what could be? What the problem is? Or I’m just lucky?
Because estimate was 12 months instead of 2 months
And the real 12-20 months

7-minute interview
Yes, my interview lasted around 7 minutes!

IO welcomed me to his office, I took the oath and immediately we jumped in the reading, written, and civics tests.
He asked my full name, and cknfirmed date of birth, address and phone number.

I had traveled outside the country 13 times during the last 3 years, I wasn't questioned about any of those trips, nor any the 5 addresses I lived on.

I was asked whether I had claimed to be a US citizen or voted in a federal election; if I had been arrested, belong to a communist party, and served in the military; finaly IO asked about my support to the constitution and willingness to take the Oath of allegiance. And that was it! I

One more minute to singing off and be notified that I had passed!

I was overwhelmed and happy at the same time. I thought it would be harder because of all my trips abroad, service in the military back in my country and association to politocal parties!

IO was very nice and professional! My application was recommended and approved the same day, as well as the oath ceremony was scheduled.

When the IO walked me out and I checked the time, 7 minutes had passed since I was called.

Timeline
May 24/2019 applied online
June 10 . Biometrics
July 24. Interview scheduled
September 12, Interview, Approval, and Oath Ceremony scheduled
October 24, Oath ceremony

Old Passports
Hello guys! I have my interview next week and I was asked to bring my passport and/or any other documents I used in connection with any entries into the United States along with other documents (probably because I have some travels out of the country) . The problem I just got a new passport (2 months ago) and the old one was taken away to be destroyed. could that be a problem or I should just explain it to the IO during the interview? did anyone experience this in the past? Thanks a lot.

decision can not be made.
I had my interview on August 7th and my USCIS account last update was on August 26th, it said ( you attended the interview ) for now you don't need to do anything as we continual review your case, but I did require a name change.

after my interview, the IO did not require any documents. I check my online estimate times, it shows my case will be completed in 2 months which is in November. I don't know how long I have to wait?

decision can't be made ...please help
Hello Guys ,
I had my interview last week based on 3 years marriage and the interview went well , passed the tests but decision can't be made by the officer. While reading the reviews i discovered that i had to mention that i got a speed ticket before 2 years that i totally forgot about and didn't mention.
What should i do ? Is that the reason for delay or refusal of the application??
Please advise me .
Thanks
