ADD YOUR CITY AND IF THERE IS A NAME CHANGE
If you really want to help people with your experience, you need to tell us WHAT CITY your N400 interviews are in AND if you are asking for a name change or not........NAME CHANGES with your N400 require a Federal Judge and usually take several months. N400 oath ceremonies WITHOUT a name change involved are considered " Administrative", are scheduled faster and normally done at the local USCIS office.

Without this information, it does not help anyone

My Timeline
- January 2018 filed N400 in Orlando Florida office.
- February 2018 Biometrics
- July 2018 received letter for interview in September
- September 2018 has interview passed Civics and Reading/Writing test, but received form N652, a Decision Cannot be made. Long wait after that, called customer service, wrote letter to Congressman, still no decision. Very frustrating waiting, not knowing.
- Then finally in September 2019, application has been approved, received a letter for Oath Ceremony. I’m now a proud United States Citizen, God Bless America.
My advice for you if you’re waiting, is keep praying, keep your head up, stay positive God will answer your prayers. I’m sure that they have a lot of work to do, that’s why it is taking so long, but be patient, your time will come. Good Luck!!

estimated completion time
Hello Everyone,

I submitted my application for the N400 application on July 29th, 2019. When I submit my online application, the USCIS system told me the estimated completion time is 6 months.

I logged in to my account today, and the systems say now it is 9months!! Can that be possible when the time increase insted of decrease? How accurate is the estimated completion time for the N400 form?

Also, the processing time for my city which is Portland had changed from 5.5-10 months to be from 13.5 to 14months.. Can someone please explain their recent experience with these numbers!.
