People, please help. I will soon be eligible to apply for Naturalization on the 5-year basis as well as 3-year married to A US Citizen basis. Which route is faster? Can I apply a few months ahead? Like, if I am qualifying in December may I apply in September???

My green card based on L1 Visa, I got laid off from my L1 visa sponsor few months after receiving the green card.
