Decision cannot be made
Hi friends, I just had my interview on Monday at the Chicago office and I passed my civics and English. The interview was very fast, the officer did not seem to have any problem. At the end of the interview he handed me a receipt with Decision cannot be made at this time. He told me he is a new employee and the supervisor needs to look at it but he will recommend for approval. Has anyone had a situation like that? How long did it take to make a decision? is it really because he's new or he just did not want to tell me there was something wrong with my application? Thank you in advance.

I did my fingerprinting on October 31, 2017 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My online status says in line for interview but I've not yet received anything by mail.

Could someone please tell how long it normally takes at Milwaukee?

Thanks.

Write a sentence. There are one hundred Senators in Congress

Civil test.
How many Justices are on the Supreme Court?
How old do citizens have to be to vote for President?
Name your U.S Representative.
What is freedom of religion?
What ocean is on the East coast of the United States?
When was the Constitution written?

Ask everything on the application. Yes and No.
I had 3 mistakes but the lawyer was with me and She explain to IO.
The Immigration Officer was very kind but I had a traffic ticket.
So he said he was going to check if everything is fine. If yes I will received Oath letter N-445. Received 3 weeks later.

Naturalization Oath of Ceremony was at 8:30am
I arrived to the Venue at 7:45 but there was already big line.
Phones have to be switch off and leave it with the security.
Arrive to Second floor.
Arranged to be seated. Took around 1 hour. 200 people.
Called out line by line. Take around 2 hours. Took your GC. They put a number of your letter. Gave you an envelope and Seated again.
Name Changed people are called out by name.
Took an hour Called out line by line,
But impress this time, they have your Naturalization certificate, just by telling your number on your letter. Don’t know how they did it.
You have to check if everything is correct on your Certificate of Naturalization, Signed and went back to sit.

A lady explain what is in the envelope and what you have to do when the Judge come. Another group of people will explain about voting and hang out the registration.

A few minutes later Judge arrives very nice. Explain about immigrants and what ex-president Obama have mentioned. Everyone repeat the Oath of allegiance.
Congratulate everyone. Everyone was handed Naturalization certificate on the way out. The ceremony was ended at 11:30 am

my wife is waiting for my petition but my n-400 takes time to be processed
I am applying for citizenship to petition my wife but it seems the process now is taking so long.
Does anyone here knows if its ok to petition my wife while i am greencard holder? Will she be able to apply for working permit?

My wife enters united states using her b1/b2 visa. Our plan is to adjust her status after my oath taking however the processing of my interview schedule is taking so long.

Any greencard holder out there who has experience to petition spouse?

thanks in advance!
