2 questions about interview
My interview is coming soon, and I feel a bit nervous. Just want to ask:
1. Is Birth Certificate and Employer verification letter a must? What if I don't have birth certificate?
2. The address on my driver license is different from my address now which is the one I put on the n-400 form, is it ok? (I got the driver license a few years ago before I moved to where I m living now).

Left country for an overseas trip- 20 days vacation
Fingerprint appointment: Dec 23 2016
No info until June last week- then recd notification for interview for July 28, 2017
NJ office located on Broad street, surprisingly very convenient in terms of parking or finding location. Everyone incl the security guards extremely nice and welcoming
Waited for almost 2 hrs to be called. We had no attorney (infact called one while applying- the same group we had for green card- but were informed none was needed as we can apply by self especially if our case was straight forward!)
I was called before my wife- thought we were going to be interviewed together but quickly realized while waiting and looking at other couple being called separately that it will be the same for us too. The officer was very nice and welcoming. Showed my HUGE file she had in a cart and made light of the situation and put me at ease. She took my green card, passport and driver license. There was some discrepancy on when my Green card was exactly approved (application vs date printed on the card) and she corrected it. She asked me the 6 questions, asked me read and write a sentence. She added my travel outside the country after sending application and had me sign the changes. She was very pleasant telling about her life and asking about mine. She told me that my wife will also be interviewed by her and pointed toward her file. It actually made me feel better that she was going to interview my wife. She congratulated me but asked me to wait to be called again after taking pictures of my green card.
My wife was called 1 hr later and had a similar experience.
We were give oath ceremony paper - which fortunately FOLLOWED our interview!! I was of the impression that we had to come later again
Finally after our oath ceremony we left with our certificates. Total 8hrs at the office but left quite happy (I thought that it was going to be 1 hr interview and wait again for result!!)
All in all a very pleasant experience...

Here's my processing time in texas, Irving office
- File application: 1st july,2016
- Got receipt: 23 days later, for Bio finger print on August 20th, 2016.
- After that, status changed to "we has been scheduled your interview....etc"
- I called them about 3 times per each weeks. (Met level 2, manager, create a request..etc......whatever...^^). But the answer is "you have to wait in line"
Waited a long time to March 15th to get "We send you a letter to let you know the day of interview"
- March 18th got letter said "interview on May 2nd,2017"
- After interviewed "I can not approved your case, let send it to manager to verify all information, this is a normal process......etc...."
- May 3rd, got a letter asked me send the 3 years income tax return.
- May 7th sent them to USCIS in IRVING.
- May 30th, case updated by phone "we schedule your Oath Ceremony on June 13th,2017"
- DONE case.

Oath Ceremony
I have just received a message to say my Oath Ceremony has been scheduled and a letter is in the mail with date, time etc.
My question is this, if it happens to be on a date when ai plan to be out of the country, how easy is it to change the date. Other people must have done this, do you have to wait long for another date.
Normally I would drop everything to get this done and over with, but I have made promises to both my sons to be in England to help them out with different things and I really don't want to let them down.

Baltimore field office processing time?
I applied at the end of January 2017 and had my fingerprints done at end of February.
Last update was: Case is in line for interview since May 1st, 2017.
If your case is in Maryland or with the Baltimore field office, would you share your timeline?
I am trying to get an idea of what the timeline is in average. I know there is a link about processing time on the official immigration site but it doesn't appear up to date.

Interview scheduled on August
Today I downloaded interview letters in pdf form for me and my husband,both interviews scheduled on first week of August,it took almost a year since we applied to interview but i am so thankful to god that our cases finally moved forward.
