N400 with Interview Reschedule
Hi I finally got my citizenship today. I took oath with 450 other new citizens, my field office was DC. It took exactly one year from date of application. About 3-4 months can be attributed to having interview rescheduled and confusion around it.
I applied in June 16 and got interview for early January 04 -2017 . Since I had scheduled overseas travel and it was costly to reschedule during holiday period, I sent reschedule request and had delivery conformation of the request. I did not hear back anything till mid Feb. Meanwhile I called customer service 3 times and all times they told me you should be fine as long as you know that your request is delivered to USCIS office.
Finally Mid February (2.5 months after initial interview notice) I took INFO pass and came to know that there is no reschedule request in their system. So my application is in no man's land. I immediately submitted new request and within week got INTERVIEW DE-SCHEDULE notice. So far customer service had not mentioned about de-schedule notice at all.
Finally my application started moving again and I got citizenship.
My advice to anyone if they need to reschedule interview, make sure you get de-schedule notice. Seems like customer service doesn't know about it. Also, once you are cleared for interview it seems that case is pretty much in your local office's hand so you can visit / call there and try to find out.

Speeding ticket
I am placed in line for an Oath ceremony and got a speeding ticket.. Is it going to affect my citizenship or is it okay as long as I pay for it?

six months from my filling date I received my interview.
1. six random questions.
2. simple writing and reading tests
3. Officer will double check N-400 with you.
No date of Oath is given yet. I will update as soon as I have it.

Citizenship Interview - Chicago Office
Hi Guys,
Here is my case status
Applied - April 2016
Case ready for Interview - June 2017
Interview was done and I passed the test. It was very formal and they asked me 6 questions about the United States citizenship interview questions. The funny thing was that the person who interviewed had an accent worse than mine and I had a hard time understanding her. LOL LOL!!!
Anyhow, once the one sentence ("People elect the congress") written test was completed she mentioned that I passed the test but my case is still pending due to background check. Since I passed the results it was also mentioned that the background check would be done faster and the case will go to a Supervisor and I should here something within the next 6 weeks.
Do any of you have a similar experience and what is the waiting time look like?

In continuation to my old post, just wanted to update ypu that it took weeks after my interview for my status to get updated, now it shows In line for Oath Ceremony,

Interview process at Lawrence,MA was simple, Interviewer was nice guy. He just asked for my green card and passport. Then he went thru my N400 form, suddenly in between he started my civic and english test which was very simple and again went back to my N400. he asked me about any citation and I told him I had recieved tickets , he said how many. I said 3, he asked what did u do, i explained him what I did. He aksed me if I have paid the fine, for which I said yes as I had paid it.
He started the interview by asking why do u want to become citizen and ended with by asking why do u think u have good character.
Online status is old and still its not updated and shows that my interview has been scheduled.
He congratulated me and said that I have passed the test and I will get oath letter in main in 3-4 weeks,
They are nice ppl. Will update you once I get my oath letter.
I dont know where to check what are the dates for oath ceremony and where will my oath happen Worcestor or lawrence or boston

What is the reason for loooong delay???

In the country where I used to live and either herw in USA.

-So, where is their religion freedom???

-So, where is their freedom speech???
