finally it is over
this is muy story:
N-400
Mailed by express priority mail to Louisville, Texas on October 3, 2016.
Received there at USCIS on October 14. Delivery confirmation email shows name of receiver.
Acknowledged receipt of package October 31, as stated on case status site.
Received receipt in mail on November 2.
Received biometrics letter on November 7 to do biometrics on November 14.
Case status site on November 16 states my application is in line for interview.
Today I received by email alert the following:
On May 1, 2017, we scheduled an interview for your Form N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, Receipt Number NBC.*** We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions
Received appointment letter May 6.
Did interview and swearing in on June 5.

By the way I am in Westchester county, and my field office is in Manhattan, New York.

i must say that I am a blind person and my daughter is in the military. because of my disability i was afforded the oppertunity to do the swearing in same day.
my appointment was at 1 pm. i arrived at the building at 12:15. i was called in at 12:50.
i was asked for my passports, green card, state ID, and appointment letter.
it was a rather nice lady doing the interviewing. From my application form she asked me for my social security number, all the places i lived in since being in the USA, when i got my green card, and the full name and date of birth of my daughter. she asked who filled out the form for me.
my6 questions were:
why did the colonists came to america
who is in charge of the executive branch
if the president can no longer serve who will becomes president
during the cold war what was the main concern of the USA
what is 1 right orfreedom from the first amendment
there are 4 amendments to the constitution about who can vote describe 1 of them.
she congratulated me on passing and gave me a paper stating it.
i was asked about 15 to 20 questions if i was a terroist, ever arrested, rape, member of certain organizations etc.
i then signed up my photos and some documents agreeing to do the swearing in.
she then directed me to another section to sit and wait for my swearing in. after an hour i was called in and did my swearing in.

there are alot of parking garages near by, the one we use was only 5 minutes walk from the building. the cost is $ 28 for 2 hours or $ 45 for anytime over 2 hours. i did not take the trains because what would happen if the train breaks down or any other mishaps and i am stuck in there. i prefer to know that i have control over the situation.

god bless you all. best of luck for those of you still in the process.

Hello
There are questions on the back side of Oath ceremony letter. Can we fill this form at home or do we need to fill in at the time of Oath in front of the officer. Any idea?

Hey guys,

Do you know if it is normal for an online status to not change from "Fingerprint Appointment was scheduled"? I have already did mine back in May but the status did not chnage since then. Should i be worried that my case is not even being reviwed or the online update is not something to rely on? I noticed that most people's status changes within few days after biometrics but mine hasn't, so i am a little concerned.

Thank you for all your information

May 30th 2017 Interview passed

Interview process at Lawrence,MA was simple, Interviewer was nice guy. He just asked for my green card and passport. Then he went thru my N400 form, suddenly in between he started my civic and english test which was very simple and again went back to my N400. he asked me about any citation and I told him I had recieved tickets , he said how many. I said 3, he asked what did u do, i explained him what I did. He aksed me if I have paid the fine, for which I said yes as I had paid it.

He started the interview by asking why do u want to become citizen and ended with by asking why do u think u have good character.

Online status is old and still its not updated and shows that my interview has been scheduled.

He congratulated me and said that I have passed the test and I will get oath letter in main in 3-4 weeks,

They are nice ppl. Will update you once I get my oath letter.

I dont know where to check what are the dates for oath ceremony and where will my oath happen (Worcestor or lawrence or boston)

Atlanta Interview
Well, I have just got back from my interview at the Atlanta Field Office, and yes I was nervous, but I do believe the officer that interviewed me was more nervous, at least my hands weren't shaking.

I say that because when I go there I went and checked in and they sent me upstairs, so up I go and wait at the check indesk there only to be sent back downstairs because to person doing my interview was going to be doing it down there. On the whole of that 1st floor the Officer that interviewed me and his supervisor were the only two people working, I asked why it was so quiet for a Monday and he told me all the action was going on on floors 2 and 3. I may be wrong, but I did get the impression he was a newbie.

He was such a lovely man, first I had to swear that I would tell the truth, then he tried to take my Biometrics (again), but his workstation wasn't working, so he took me through to his supervisors office and he did it for me.
Next I had to read a line from a paper he gave me, then I had to write what he told me to write on another piece of paper, then the questions from the Civics test, 6 in total. After that he basically just went through my application form and asked me questions about it, it seemed to me that he was checking to make sure the answer I gave him was the same as on the form. Then he printed me of a form and said he needed is supervisor to check it through, but not to worry because I'd done really well and that I should receive my Oath letter within 60 to 90 days.

It is correct that if you are from Alabama, you will take you oath in Montgomery and soon the interviews Alabama residents will be held there too.

One more thing for anybody that needs to go overnight for an early morning appointment, the Doubletree by Hilton was a great place to stay, you just walk out the back entrance of the hotel and the field office is directly opposite, couldn't have been more convenient.

Now back to waiting,

Good luck everyone

And nothing since then ... It`s been 6 months since I applied, 4 months in line for the interview. Calling is pointless. I know we are all in the same situation. Good luck everyone.
