Through Rediff Shopping, on June 19, 2008, I had ordered the book "Nigella Express", order number 4669005. On checking my order status today, it shows dispatch status as "pending" after nearly 2 weeks. This means that the courier company, Aramex, has still not been given the book by Rediff shopping to dispatch to me....I just can't understand why it takes more than two weeks to dispatch ONE book from Chennai (Landmark is the seller) to Hyderabad! This is very very disappointing. I have written a mail to Rediff shopping twice and each time I get the same automated reply that it will take 2-3 weeks, but that is after it is dispatched right? Here, the order has not even been dispatched! What kind of service is this?

i have ordered 2 watch "sexy chromo watch" of rupees 400 each. but they have send a local watch. they are only cheating the customer. so whom should i contact.
and my suggestion to my friends that never use rediff shoping.

I made the mistake of not browsing enough before purchasing from Rediff, that too a product supplied by OJJAS ENTERPRISES, who I can see from this and many other shopping forums, is quite famous now for either late or faulty delivery.
I am very disappointed with both Ojjas and Rediff and I am surprised how they can give a 96% feedback for the latter. I ordered a cordless phone combo from Rediff, but it arrived without any manuals. To top it the cordless phone does not work. I ordered it as a gift for my parents and ended up getting embarassed BIG TIME.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, think a zillion times before ordering from Rediff.

I had called the seller and seller responded that the product is not original and on the website nowhere mentioned that product is assembled and not original. So if the product is not original please refund my money and take action on the seller who wasted my and your precious time.

I am yet to receive the item which was ordered in Rediff (ORDER NUMBER 4489240) but the Aramex courier website shows (Shipment number 5759555023) as it is delivered to a person in Bangalore when the shipping address clearly for "Hosur, Tamilnadu"

This is for the second time happening when I did the shopping for the second time.

Besides, Sify shopping is fantastic. I nearly have shopped more than 10 products, I never had any problem.Fantastic customer service.

This is for your kind information that I have booked one 1GB ipod through rediff shopping on 25th February 2008. The details are as follows. But till today I do not have receive.
I think that site is not reliable for online shopping.

wrongly asccesed custom duty and exploitation of customer by compelling to pay abnormal
extra ordinary highest handling charges

Dear Sir,
We are retail and wholesale opticians
We had appointed TNT couriers to collect a parcel containing reading glasses 28 pieces

from china.
The Airway No is GD 921 893 232 WW.
The parcel was dispatched along with Proper Invoice.
The total value of the parcel is $12 USD i.e approx INR 480.
However for unknown and unspecified reasons it was accessed of value 6 times more than the

original value i.e instead of Rs.480/= it was accessed as Rs. 2800 and duty was charged

accordingly. Instead of Contacting Us for specifications regarding the Duty and assessment

charges, TNT couriers had accepted the charges without even contacting us.It is TNT\'s

Duty to have the assessment done strictly according to Invoice value and if not the client

( US ) should be informed for further instructions. The values incurred were totally

unexpected very high.
With the duty charged on 6 times the original amount, the octroi charges were levied on

the higher amount too.
More to add to their total atrocities they have charged a handling charges of Rs. 394.

which is almost equal to the product value.
On complaining for the wrongly charges and worst customer services, TNT Manager did not

even try to resolve any of the problems and said nothing could be done.

Here are the figures.

Original Parcel value : Rs. 480
Accessed value by customs ( without TNT informing us about the same ) : Rs. 2800
Duty Charged :Rs. 412 ( It should have been Around Rs.82 )
Octroi Charged: Rs. 177 ( iT should have been around Rs.32)
Handling Charges: Rs. 394 ( No details provided on how such a high value was charged . The

amount is almost equal to the total parcel value)
Courier Charges : Approx. Rs. 2000

Total charges that should have been occured on Original Value : Approx. Rs. 200 + Courier

Charges
Total charges that is charged on over assessment : Rs 1000 + Courier Charges
i.e. More than 6 times the usual.
As the reading glasses are necessary medical aid product and they are very very low priced

.we do not know how TNT agreed on 6 times the assessment value without intimating us for

the same and more over to that collecting abnormal extremely highest handling charges ?

I had purchased couple of books on Rediff Shopping some time back. Its been more than a month and I still have not received the books. Moreover for one of my orders the web site says that it has been delivered to some guy in Bangalore, where as my order was for Delhi.
You do receive any feedback from there not

i had pruchased a cc camcorder through rediff shopping, on 18 dec 07,on clearance of the payment by credit card and the amount deducted immediately, rediff posted reply on 20 dec 07 the item despatched with aramex courier givine awb number, but on verification in aramex courier it turned out ot be fraudulent number, the contact address given does not respond to the call, customer support is yet to reply till date i.e 10 jan 08. i stongly reccomend this shopping site should be banned and penalised for cheating public.
