Dominican Republic / Bahamas experience
Not exactly for this thread - but wanted to check if people here have tried these two locations for visa stamping/renewal since my attorneys have suggested them as well. I was checking Jamaica too, but it seems they have closed doors for TCNs.

Ottawa Stamping Assistance/ Experience please
Hello, we are driving from NY to Ottawa for h1b and h4/ ead stamping on 14th of Jan.
We got previous h1b and h4 in Ottawa in 2016. But with recent turmoil and govt shutdown, I am a little apprehensive of what to expect during the interview. Anyone had a recent stamping experience in Ottawa? How was the interview process? How many days you received passport? Any forms issued for delays?

I am wondering if there is too much delay, then I may go to Mexico or Dominican Republic. I only have 60 days left on my current visa.

I am currently on H4 visa and started masters in Aug2018. Is it safe to attend visa interview in Canada( got the canadian visitor visa) Instead of going back to india to change to student visa,?... Anyone whith recent experiences..?
My spring semester starts on 14th January, is it advisable to go canada for student visa in such short time.??
If none works I am planning to go india in June 2019 semester break.
Which is the best option? I am in a really confused state...
Any advice is appreciated....

First time H1 stamping, working under EVVC model

I have to visit india in February end. I am afraid of stamping in India as there seem to be lot of rejection and even if it is approved there is long wait, some people are waiting for more than 4 weeks. I am on H1 since Oct 2016. my F1 was expired in July 2018. This will be my first stamping, and I work under EVVC model which worries me a lot. Do you people think Canada is better option and do I still stand a chance to get dates till first week of Feb.
