H1B VISA STAMPING - TORONTO -13 FEB
Hello guys,

I had an interview on february 13,2020. My interview and everything went good but officer placed my case under administrative processing and return my passport with green slip 221g (no further documents required).

Today when I checked my status online, It is showing "Refused" but last case update date is still same "13th february"

A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or the website for the Embassy or Consulate at which you made your visa application.
For more information.

Please help me if you are aware of this type of scenario and what will be my options and chances. Thank you

H1B Visa stamping vancouver - 221g
Hi All,

I've addended H1B stamping in Vancouver on Feb 26th, interview was good with very common questions. VO is entered all of my answers in the systems and went inside for a minute or 2 then she said - I'm not able to issue the visa and it quires more time to process. VO took my passport & I-797 and 221g paper is given to me. Below is the status , how long it will take to complete the admin processing.

Administrative Processing
Case Created: 24-Feb-2020
Case Last Updated: 26-Feb-2020

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks, or longer. As explained on the day of your interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment.
For more information, please visit U.S. Consulate General Vancouver.

Visa Stamping Questions
Hello All,

I have my Visa Stamping schedule in Vancouver BC. I have question, if some have been in this scenario please reply. Thanks in advance.

For the past six years of my h1b, I have never been outside of US. Will there be any questions during Visa stamping on this? If so please suggest what needs to presented to VO.

Thanks.

H1B visa Interview at Toronto, Canada
HELLO ALL,

i had an h1b appointment in toronto at 8:00 am on feb 26th.
before the interview the procedures are pretty standard

- security check
- document check: ds 160 confirmation page, i797, 1 photo, and passport;
- fingerprint
- interview:

normal questions:
what is your higer education?, is this first h!b visa? how long it took to get h1b after. masters? where do you work? location? , job duties? salary?

vo reviewed my passport, f1 visa, and all my documents in blue file (i797, lca, i129)

i'm keeping your passport and you will get it back in a week after the process.

1st day, feb 26th: checked my status, updated to administrative processing
2nd day, feb 27th: same status
3rd day, feb 28th: same status

after reading experinceses here most of them got updte in 3rd day to pickup the passport.
i was wondering how long it will take to get the update of status? is this normal process?
do i get any email notification on status update or else email notification is only meant to passport pickup?

H1b Visa stamping appointment
Hi Friends I am looking for appointment for my VISA stamping but couldn't find the dates. Anyone is experiencing the same?. when the dates will be opened for Ottawa, Toronto locations?. how frequent we need to check the website

DS160 status updated three weeks before attending the appointment
Scheduled h1b visa appointment at Montreal in mid March.
DS160 were submitted in later Jan.
Looking at DS160 status:
mine - case created on Feb 12 and updated on Feb 19 and then Feb 24
my hubby - case created on Feb 12 and no updates since then.

This seems weird to me. My past experience is that DS160 case is always created one business day before the appointment, which was the case in 2016 and 2017 in my home city as well as 2019 in Ottawa. I'm not sure what it means when the case is created one month before the updated three weeks before the appointment.

Has anyone experienced the same before?

Current Status: Appointment
I finished my visa interview at Vancouver, questions were:

How long with company?
What do you do at your company?
Where is your company located?

I was then told visa was approved. However when I log in to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/niv/users/sign_in I see current status as "Appointment". Not issued or AP.

Is this normal? Why does it show appointment when it was complete already?

Feb 25 12:30pm @ montreal
I had H1B appointment in Montreal at 12:30pm on Feb 25th.

Before the interview the procedures are pretty standard
- security (no electronics of any kind but they have lockers for you if you do carry something that's not allowed in).
- document check: DS 160 confirmation page, i797, 1 photo, and passport;
- finger print;
- interview:
1) Where do you work, what's your title, where did you graduate/what majors/what year did you graduate.

Before i left, she didn't indicate if it was approved or not but said "I will keep you passport i think it will be resolved but might take longer" i tried to ask her what matter but she just said "something we need to resolve from our end" so i have no clue what was going on and when i would be able to receive my passport. Does anyone have similar issue before? Thank you!
